As a Product Management Engineer, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between product management and engineering, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective execution of product strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize feature development, and drive the successful delivery of our SaaS products.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate and provide feedback on usability, feasibility with product managers, designers, and engineers to define product roadmaps, feature requirements, and release plans.

  • Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in regards to the database market.

  • Conduct user research, gather feedback, and analyze data to inform product decisions and identify areas for improvement.

  • Provide technical recommendations on features/requirements for the SaaS product, may be asked to assist with prototypes. 

  • Participate in the testing process to ensure quality and usability of the features implemented. 

  • Translate product vision and strategy into actionable technical requirements and specifications for engineering teams.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize feature development, investigate existing tooling or software capability that can be incorporated into the product. 

  • Participate in project management ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure alignment between product and engineering teams.

  • Monitor product performance and usage metrics, conduct post-launch reviews, and iterate on product enhancements based on user feedback and data insights.

What you have done:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience. 

  • Strong technical background in Open Source Databases such as MySQL, Postgres and MongoDB

  • Strong technical background in systems architecture and design. 

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence or equivalent.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline, engineering processes and testing frameworks, example - Jenkins.

  • Passion for technology, innovation, and delivering exceptional user experiences.

  • Experienced with database metrics, tools and reporting
