We are looking for a Product Development Specialist, China-based, who is passionate about Underwear, Seamless, Apparel & Fashion.  Bridge innovation and manufacturing efficiency by delivering high-quality, cost-effective products that surpass brand expectations. Focus on initiatives to enhance speed, quality, and cost through strategic partnerships and optimized processes. Oversee sourcing and design throughout the development cycle, working closely with the US team and factories to execute and elevate tech pack guidelines.

Role Challenges:

  • Attend weekly fitting recaps and general meetings with the US team

  • Review factory A’s yarn acquisitions and tech packs.

  • Ensure consistency in duplication before sending PP to the US for fit checks

  • Verify that tech packs, inspiration samples, and factory samples match new developments.

  • Arrange and participate in China fittings with a CN technician to review factory A productions.

  • Assist with apparel design and beauty development initiatives.

  • Support tech design and product development to increase product rating and ensure fit expectations are met for private label products.

  • Review daily emails, and track product development in Asana and the development chart.

  • Manage PPM expectations and conclusion notes to clarify samples and tech packs for production, addressing any discrepancies.

  • Create and manage fabric libraries and approved color cards.

  • Ensure up-to-date process and progress information is shared through Asana, Slack, or other tools.

  • Actively participate in assigned rituals (tribes, squads, tactical sessions) to share insights and experiences with processes and factories.

  • Support PD/Production by reviewing all initial FOB LC costing with factories

  • Weekly development updates are maintained in WIP & Asana for all channels.

  • Review daily emails & Track all product development with T&A Tracking in Asana & Development chart.

  • Collaborate with Customer Care to review private label PR & FAE to suggest & execute initiatives to improve the overall product experience.

  • Assist Product Development Manager with ideation development & presentations.

  • Build & Create product development proposals for current & new products with product features & benefits.

  • Shop competitive markets, mills, factories for new innovations, or enhancements to current assortments.

  • Collaborate directly with cross-functional teams on product journey lifecycle tasks.

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in seamless apparel.

  • Analyze competitor products and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience (focused on intimates/seamless garments/beauty products)

  • Good English communication skills (internal & external clients)

  • Experience in building private-label apparel or beauty products

  • Define & track all T&As

  • Hands on, fast problem solving

  • Able to handle effective multitasking

  • Experienced in data maintenance; development charts; fitting presentations etc.

  • Understanding the plus-size market with a passion for making women feel confident.

  • Understand willingness to learn about beauty development

  • Dedicated and strong attention to detail and a passion for technical design & product development.
