About the team:
You’ll be working on a team that is focused on bringing our award-winning app to the professional space, collaborating with teammates who think about the future of work and how can Goodnotes innovate in this space.
Our team is spread between Asia and Europe. You’re welcome to work remotely from anywhere, with at least 2-3 hours overlap with the people you’d be working closely with, or you can join us in our Hong Kong or London office. Due to the asynchronous nature of working that GoodNotes has adopted, any time difference will not impact your work-life balance.
About the role:
This is a role where you will be crafting experiences for both end-users as well as system administrators. You will be working on exciting new verticals in both the education and enterprise spaces and partner closely with business development, user research and other members of your team to design systems as well as user-facing features.
This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:
Design user-centric experiences that drive sustainable growth and engagement of Goodnotes’ user base
Ideate and design UI flows to increase conversions and drive more optimal growth loops
Take part in product experimentation by formulating different design variations based on hypotheses and running A/B tests
Influence product strategy through design thinking and user insights
Translate quantitative data and qualitative insights into creative ideas and considered design decisions
Working on B2B solutions a brand new segment Goodnotes is building
The skills you will need to be successful in the above:
Minimum 3 years of product design experience preferably in software design, including working on solutions that are cross platform
Experience designing end to end flows from research to delivery, designing solutions with clear visual hierarchy and having an evidence based design process
Proven ability to frame problems, conduct user research, excellent visual design skills, with an analytical mindset
Experience in providing design inputs to optimise conversion
Ability to balance vision with iteration, to make tradeoffs and get the right user experience to market
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, ensuring responsibility for every detail throughout the process, from initial sketches to the final high-quality outputs.
Collaborate in small, cross-functional teams that include members from engineering, product management, and product insights, among other areas.
Quickly generate various concepts and prototypes, knowing when to delve deeper and when to switch directions and explore a different method.
Consider existing insights, technical limitations, business requirements, and platform-specific needs to create solutions informed by data.
Systems thinking, coupled with the flexibility to zoom in for detail and zoom out for a comprehensive understanding, connecting the dots effectively.

A 30 minute portfolio review with our design team
A 45 minute call with our Product Manager and Team Lead for the Enterprise Team
A 1.5 hour whiteboard session with our design team where we co-ideate and see how we can work together
A 45 minute call where you will get the chance to speak to 2 or 3 people you’d be working closely with
