Cofactr is on a mission to make hardware as agile and scalable as software. We’re leveraging better data and AI to build best-in-class tools for electronics supply chain management. Cofactr is a single platform for procurement, purchase, and management of electronic components that works seamlessly with integrated logistics to assure that the physical management of electronics parts is always responsible and efficient.

We're a Y Combinator W22 company with growing revenue and backed with significant venture funding from VCs like Bain Capital Ventures.

The Team

The Cofactr team is innovative, creative, and collaborative, with diverse professional backgrounds and a passion for solving big problems. We’re hiring team members who are energized by the opportunity to make the global electronics supply chain's most complex challenges into a scalable and intuitive tool. We value transparency and trust amongst our team and translate this approach into our evolving product.

The Role

Our procurement team works in conjunction with our logistics team to process and track customer orders. As the Procurement Associate, you will use the Cofactr platform to place orders through API ordering and manually via supplier websites. In addition, you will be responsible for tracking order progress and updating the Cofactr platform accordingly to provide full visibility for our customers and their order status. Due to the varying nature of the electronics industry, you will keep track of changing lead times, delayed parts, and possible supplier decommits.

Your role will also involve working alongside the data engineering team to report discrepancies in supplier inventory reporting and other issues involving MOQ, lead times, and pricing. As Cofactr is a startup, the bounds of your role may change as our procurement needs expand. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on and continue learning multiple facets of the electronics procurement process.

This is a remote position but will require travel to NYC (fully compensated) to our Brooklyn office a few times a year for on-site work sessions and activities.

What You'll Do

  • Process purchase lines using the distributor API ordering and manually placing orders through websites.

  • Learn and use the Cofactr platform to confirm, track, and adjust orders as needed.

  • Ensure that all of the data shown to our customers is accurate regarding lead times and arrival estimates to the best of our ability.

  • Problem-solving procurement issues related to delayed parts, decommits, and other availability issues. If necessary, remediate purchase lines.

  • Quote complete BOMs for customers using our price-solving software.

  • Contact suppliers for individual part quotes, lead times, and other info.

  • Report software bugs and issues to our front-end engineering team.

  • Report data discrepancies and issues to our data team.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years working in procurement, preferably in the field of electronics

  • Knowledge of basic electronics supply chain terms and issues - MOQ, manufacturer leads times, part decommits, end-user restrictions, and statements

  • Experience working with procurement BOMs

  • Comfortable learning new software quickly

  • Able to keep track of and organize significant amounts of data.

  • Basic understanding of Excel and Google Suite

  • A good communicator who can effectively report issues and problems as they pop up.

  • Must be *very* detail-oriented.

$55,000 - $65,000 a year

Our cash compensation for this role is targeted at $55,000-$65,000/year. Multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, determine final offer amounts.

Benefits

• Competitive salary and equity

• 100% employee premium coverage of health, dental, and vision plans

• HSA and FSA offerings

• 401(k) with 4% company matching

• Unlimited time off policy

• Commuter benefits with a company contribution

We are an equal opportunity employer that values and welcomes diversity. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship or immigration status, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

To conform to U.S. Government technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
