Role Description
Ten Oaks is seeking a highly driven and motivated Private Equity Vice President to join our world-class team. This role will report directly to our Director of Execution along with reporting to and interfacing with our firm’s leadership team. As Private Equity VP, you will be responsible for overseeing the analysis of an analyst/associate deal team member and leading the analysis, strategic review, and execution of corporate carve-out transactions.
Principal Responsibilities:
Serve as deal quarterback for new carve-out investments, overseeing, from end to end, the investment analysis, due diligence, and underwriting process, overseeing analyst/associate workstreams.
Manage the analytical qualitative and quantitative summaries that inform transaction decision making. Understand and communicate key deal drivers to Ten Oaks leadership.
Interface with Senior Transaction Execution team members to review, optimize, and lead the deep-dive diligence through the analysis and execution of corporate carve-out transactions.
Oversee and manage certain deals within pipeline to progressing deals through various stage gates.
Provide detailed weekly updates to Ten Oaks co-founders and leadership on active deals.
Identify key performance indicators to facilitate efficient handoff to drive investment thesis and efficient handoff to value creation team upon deal close.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consultancy, with M&A experience
2+ years of investing experience, preferably at a private equity firm
Bachelor's degree from an academically respected university. MBA, CFA or other relevant graduate degree or certification a plus
Distressed, turnaround, or “deep value” investment experience required
Experience running or quarterbacking a deal in similar transaction dynamic required.
Lower middle market focus on similar deal sizes preferred (~$10 million to ~$500 million revenue)
Strong accounting, finance, modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills supported by a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Willingness to work in a flat team environment with dynamic roles
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively
High attention to detail and ability to both “do and review” key analysis, with ability to take on material responsibility and accountability
Strong critical thinking and analytical ability, must be able to think beyond the task at hand and incorporate the bigger picture
Intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial mindset, and commitment to professional development
