We’re a high-performance cryptography startup (with an exciting hardware twist) looking for a talented Principal Recruiter to lead and build out our recruiting function. About the role:

We are looking for a dynamic, bright, and organized self-starter with a passion for talent acquisition and building 0 → 1 to join our team as our first Principal Recruiter. We’re looking for someone who can both partner deeply with our co-founders on forward thinking talent strategy, in addition to rolling their sleeves up and leveling up the operational aspects of the function. 

This person is a systems thinker, with the mindset necessary to create order from ambiguity, while fostering a deep sense of partnership and collaboration across the Org, and with candidates, along the way. Over time, leadership will look to you to build out the function in a deeper way - think growing the recruiting team, talent mapping, internal talent movement, compensation, etc. 

  • Set up and run end-to-end best-in-class deep recruitment processes, gaining a deep understanding of different technical nuances of each role

  • Enfuse recruiting best practices throughout the organization - interview training, meeting 1:1 with Engineers, running debrief sessions, iterating

  • Create an amazing candidate experience, while ensuring candidates gain a deep understanding of our culture and operating principles

  • Partner and manage external agencies

  • Develop an understanding of the candidate market, continually learning and building strong networks of potential candidates

About you: 

  • A collaborative, thoughtful talent partner who sees the big picture, and is comfortable getting into the details (can operationalize a strategy)

  • Comfortable with open communication and giving and receiving open, constructive feedback respectfully

  • Solutions oriented mindset - not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the role - no job too big or too small

  • Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn, grow and develop others

  • Proven ability to think creatively, participate fully and work collaboratively to develop and execute programs

  • Strong analytical skills and uses data to influence decision making

  • Impeccable judgment and integrity, and ability to balance the needs of the company, managers and employees

  • Adaptable to change

Locations supported: 

We’re looking for candidates who are located between the USA East Coast and Central Europe time zones. Although we’re a globally distributed company, ensuring the team works in cohesive time zones is essential to our goals. Additionally, the company plans to get together ~one week per quarter in either New York City or Europe.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of in-house full life cycle recruiting experience, with 5+ years of technical recruiting

  • Previous experience at an early stage/high growth startup implementing talent acquisition strategies from scratch

  • Demonstrated track record of recruiting outstanding diverse technical talent into top-tier engineering organizations

  • Understanding of global compensation strategies

  • Experience working in a fully remote/remote-first environment

  • Experience recruiting talent across the US and Europe, and a high level understanding of employment laws associated with global hiring

  • Either experience or a “front row seat” to other People functions such as People Operations, HRBP work, and global compensation
