Company Description

Why Insights?

We’re an established global Learning & Development company that creates learning experiences that help people understand themselves, work better with others, and build stronger organisations.

Product Learning plays a critical role in ensuring these experiences are credible, distinctive and capable of delivering meaningful, measurable behavioural impact for clients around the world.

This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Head of Product Learning and Innovation. You’ll help shape the future of product learning—creating learning experiences that influence behaviour, strengthen products and contribute to commercial success.

It’s a rare opportunity to lead a strategically important function with real scope to shape what comes next, while building capability that lasts.

Job Description

As Principal Product Learning Manager, you will lead the full Product Learning function, including the Product Learning team, the Interactive Delivery Architecture (IDA) team and the Intellectual Property Engine team.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across product, technology, research and commercial teams to ensure learning is a core driver of product success. You will be accountable for:

  • The Product Learning ecosystem – what we create, how it creates value, and how it supports meaningful behaviour change

  • The Product Learning operating model – how we deliver with quality, clarity, pace and consistency at scale

This role goes beyond learning design. It’s about building a high‑performing, trusted capability that supports product success, protects intellectual property, enables global scale and gives senior leaders confidence in the value learning creates.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, support and develop the Product Learning function across three teams: the Product Learning team, our Flagship Accreditation teams (IDA) and the Profile Engine teams

  • Set clear standards, shared expectations and effective ways of working across teams

  • Deliver a joined‑up learning ecosystem across in‑person, digital, AI‑enabled and hybrid learning experiences

  • Ensure every learning experience has clear behavioural intent, success criteria and measurable outcomes

  • Build and continuously improve an operating model that enhances quality, predictability, throughput and cost transparency—both within your teams and through business partners

  • Align learning with product priorities, adoption goals, go‑to‑market plans and commercial performance

  • Partner closely with Research to ensure learning remains evidence‑based, credible and robust

  • Strengthen intellectual property governance, auditability and thoughtful reuse across the portfolio

  • Use learning data and insight to inform product evolution and investment decisions

  • Communicate clearly and influence effectively with senior stakeholders, ensuring Product Learning vision and modernisation are part of ongoing strategic conversations

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a senior leader who can bring together learning strategy, delivery discipline, commercial awareness and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

You’re likely to bring experience in:

  • Product learning strategy, learning experience design or learning operations

  • Leading and supporting high‑performing teams in complex, fast‑moving environments

  • Designing scalable learning experiences that deliver measurable behavioural impact

  • Creating operating models, standards and ways of working that improve quality and efficiency

  • Working effectively across product, technology, research and commercial teams

  • Using data, insight and evidence to guide decisions and priorities

  • Protecting and evolving intellectual property in a structured, credible way

  • A genuine interest in what makes Insights distinctive in the L&D marketplace

Just as important is how you lead. You are likely to be:

  • Curious, open‑minded and positive about change

  • Clear, calm and accountable in your approach

  • Thoughtful when making trade‑offs and decisions

  • Comfortable holding high standards while keeping things practical

  • Trusted and credible with senior stakeholders

  • Interested in emerging technology and better, more inclusive ways of working

Why This Role?

  • Take ownership of a critical part of how our products create value for clients

  • Influence the intersection of Product Learning, Product Development, Product Technology and Commercial Performance

  • Build capability, systems and standards that scale globally

  • Strengthen our intellectual property and long‑term learning capability

  • Help shape how evidence‑based learning that drives behaviour change is delivered worldwide
