YOUR TEAM

Design sets the bar for the character, tone, and visual impact of our products and is responsible for designing experiences that are intuitive and compelling to use. Nuna Designers embrace their superpower to visualize the ideal user experience, rapidly testing and iterating on solutions while aligning the teams on a common vision.

Reporting directly to the Head of Design, the Principal Product Designer blends leadership and execution skills to simultaneously elevate our practice and our products. This is a highly visible role across the organization, requiring extensive cross-functional collaboration and engagement. It also necessitates deep empathy for and understanding of patient healthcare and wellness journeys; the primary focus of our work.

YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

Nuna has established its brand in the B2B space over the last decade by shifting the US healthcare system towards an incentive model that rewards providers for positive outcomes. Leveraging our collective backgrounds and insights, we are now in start-up mode once again, crafting an innovative new direct-to-patient experience that further improves outcomes for people with chronic conditions.

The Principal Product Designer will play a critical part in conceptualizing and launching this experience. In this role you will:

  • Lead the design of Nuna’s direct-to-patient experience, created and delivered in the context of typical product development cycles and releases

  • Develop and communicate a clear, compelling experience design vision for the product that aligns both teams and stakeholders

  • Guide and deliver user-centric design strategies, utilizing quantitative and qualitative ux research and competitive analysis to inform product recommendations and decisions

  • Develop and implement prototypes and documentation deliverables that effectively communicate design intent

  • Build solid, productive relationships with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and healthcare experts; to deliver scalable solutions

  • Lead internal process development initiatives that optimize and scale Design’s contribution to successful Nuna products and culture

  • Expertly develop and deliver internal and public presentations

  • Mentor and guide designers, fostering a creative, collaborative, and inclusive  work environment

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field

  • A portfolio of excellent digital direct-to-consumer product design – launched/in-market products strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of product design experience across the full product development lifecycle

  • A proven track record of efficacy and leadership in a senior individual contributor role, driving product strategy and resulting in positive organizational impact

  • Mastery of design fundamentals, research strategies, tools, and techniques

  • Proficiency with design tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams

  • A natural instinct for tackling large, complex problems head-on, and a tendency towards action

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $223,000 to $273,250. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
