Description

Pharma Strategy Manager, Activate

Vi is the market-leading Enterprise-AI platform for health, serving the world’s largest health organizations — from Fortune 500 health providers to pharma and consumer brands — helping them maximize patient activation, engagement, operational excellence and health outcomes. Vi offers four main product lines: Activate, Engage, Operate and Pulse. Backed by $125M+ in R&D, our powerful platform serves over 190 million members daily — and growing. We are based in New York, Austin, Nashville, and Tel Aviv.

Vi Activate is a productized data solution, outputting Precision Targeted Audiences for paid media marketing to reduce marketing waste and drive meaningful client KPIs more effectively.

About The Role

As the Pharma Strategy Manager on the Activate Squad, you'll be the squad's embedded pharma and healthcare subject-matter expert. You'll own the 'pharma translation' layer: turning clinical and commercial context into audience strategies, data specs and first-draft deliverables the squad can execute on.

You'll bring clinical and condition-level expertise to both our Pharma and Healthcare clients. In Healthcare, that spans health systems, payers, providers, care navigation and more. Your primary focus is Vi Activate patient, caregiver and HCP audience strategy. You'll work closely with our Insights team, converting their strategy into executable data pull logic and audience builds, and making sure every output holds up against the disease state, label and treatment landscape before it reaches them.

This role is for someone with deep scientific literacy who can ramp across therapeutic areas fast, writes with precision, and owns delivery of polished work, not just input.

What You'll Own

  • Activate Audience Strategy: Build patient, caregiver and HCP audience targeting strategies for Vi Activate, defining audiences by disease state, treatment stage and intent signals to enhance product effectiveness.

  • Brief-to-Spec Translation: Convert Commerical team requests into clear, executable data pull logic, including diagnosis codes, treatment lines, competitor products, exclusions and behavioral signals.

  • Own Client & Production Ready Deliverables: Own the audience rationales, summaries and data-driven slides, that the Commercial team finalizes and presents to clients. You’re accountable for delivering first drafts that are accurate, concise and near, if not fully, client- or production-ready.

  • Clinical Quality Check: Sanity-check outputs against the disease state, product label and treatment landscape. Flag results that don't hold up before they reach the Deployment and / or Insights teams.

  • Rapid TA Ramp-Up: Enter the role with breadth across TAs and drug modalities, while being agile to get up to speed quickly on new indications, mechanisms of action and competitive landscapes, often on short timelines.

What We're Looking For

  • Pharma & Biotech Experience: 4-6+ years of relevant pharma or biotech industry experience, with breadth across therapeutic areas and drug modalities. You're comfortable learning new disease areas quickly.

  • Scientific Literacy: Strong command of disease states, mechanisms of action, clinical data and treatment guidelines. You can tell when an output doesn't make clinical sense.

  • Writing Precision: You turn complex clinical content into clear, accurate and concise copy, whether it's a data spec, an audience rationale or a client-facing slide.

  • Execution Ownership: You deliver a polished work product, not just input. You take full ownership of quality and deadlines, and you bring a recommendation, not just a question.

  • Speed & Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, and you're energized by ramping on a new indication in days, not weeks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Real-World Data (Advantage): Exposure to claims or other real-world data sources.

  • Patient Marketing (Advantage): Familiarity with DTC or patient marketing, or with audience targeting.

  • High-Velocity Environments (Advantage): Startup or high-velocity agency experience.

Backgrounds That Fit Well

  • Life sciences consulting (associate, senior associate or consultant level)

  • Medical communications agency: medical writers, scientific copywriters, medical editors

  • Healthcare marketing agency: pharma copywriters with clinical depth

An advanced degree is not required.
