Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Stripe's People Strategy and Enablement team  is…

The Process Optimization team is responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to enable our People team and Stripe employees on productivity and efficiency changes related to People programs.  In addition, the team needs to build, execute and land a series of large scale process optimization initiatives focused on the employee lifecycle.

What you’ll do

As the People Process Optimization Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing enablement initiatives for our internal processes and People tools, collaborating with key stakeholders, and ensuring seamless adoption. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in leading global process improvement initiatives, have a strong operational background and can effectively partner with Corporate Technology and People team leaders to drive enterprise transformation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing Stripe People processes, identify improvement opportunities, prescribe improvement strategies, and guide the improvement effort

  • Implement a continuous improvement program to engage cross-functional People teams to solve operational problems, such as Total Rewards, Recruiting, and Talent & Development.

  • Drive speed, quality, and simplification by eliminating rework loops, reducing and automating manual work and hand-offs, identifying and implementing best practices across the business, and minimizing process variability through standardization and automation.

  • Partner with functional leads to create global best practice documentation and standardization across geographies

  • Provide benchmarking and performance improvement metrics to indicate future investment in the program to leadership

  • Lead cross organizational projects and reporting that drive performance improvement, visibility and automation throughout People programs

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of successful project/program leadership experience and facilitation of large cross-functional teams in HR transformation, business operations or technology process improvement areas

  • 2+ years of direct people management experience

  • A strong track record of delivering global transformational, complex programs in a changing, ambiguous environment which have delivered quantifiable business impact

  • A high threshold for navigating ambiguity and building effective solutions that scale

  • A strong operational background with a track record of making data driven decisions

  • A growth mindset and innate curiosity where every interaction is an opportunity to learn and improve (yourself, and those around you).

  • You demonstrate leadership qualities throughout your work – taking ownership of challenges, selflessly supporting your colleagues, and setting the standard for quality in your deliverables

  • An ability to seamlessly transition from strategy, high level to very detailed, and a willingness to “roll up your sleeves”

Preferred qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma experience, Master Blackbelt certification is preferred

  • Experience working with internal tooling and Engineering teams

  • Strong project management experience
