Cresta is focused on using AI to help the workforce, not replace them. Cresta uses our patented Expertise AI to uncover expert insights  from every conversation and put those insights into action with real-time coaching during customer conversations.

We’re growing fast! Spun out of the Stanford AI lab and chaired by Google-X founder Sebastian Thrun, Cresta launched in 2020. Since then, we’ve grown revenue and our team by 300%! We’ve assembled a world-class team of AI and ML experts, go-to-market leaders, and top-tier investors and advisors including Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, and former AT&T CEO John Donovan. Our valued customers include brands like Intuit, Porsche, Verizon, and Mutual of Omaha and we have been recognized as a startup to watch by Business Insider, Forbes, and Gartner to name a few. We have huge ambitions and are looking for stellar candidates who have an entrepreneurial mindset and are excited to use cutting-edge AI to solve real-world business problems.

Cresta is hiring a People Operations Lead who will work closely with our small but mighty People team and will be at the forefront of the employee experience.  We’re growing, today we have 200 and counting global Crestans primarily located across the US, Canada and Europe, and it’s time we re-imagined our core foundation while delivering awesome outcomes for all Crestans.

We are a remote-friendly organization and this role can be located anywhere in the United States and will need to flex to multiple time zones.  We have offices located in Palo Alto, San Francisco, New York City, Toronto, and Berlin.

What you'll do

  • Proactively partner with employees and managers on inquiries.

  • Develop internal communication resources to introduce more self-service options for routine inquiries.

  • Evaluate key employee life-cycle moments, identify gaps, and shape the processes and standard service level agreements for the future.

  • Deploy a service delivery solution, and workflow management tool that will be the front-office for employee and manager requests while ensuring timely delivery from the team.

  • Execute employee life cycle events, benefits, leave administration, and mobility across multiple HR systems and our global footprint.

  • Drive new technology implementations, including design, testing, implementation, and monitoring.

  • Support ad hoc data insight and reporting requests while also helping to build ongoing metrics tracking.

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding while also continuing to evolve the current process to create a productive, welcoming, and engaging experience for all new hires.

  • Research and contribute to future policy and handbook development and revisions.

  • Monitor compliance and emerging employment law trends, share updates, and develop plans for addressing current and future requirements for US employees with the opportunity to contribute to Canada and Germany sites.

  • Provide program management support for the People Team’s roadmap

  • Partner with key stakeholders across Talent Acquisition, Accounting, Payroll, Information Technology, Legal, and Compliance on shared initiatives.

  • Partner with the team and Cresta’s Chief of Staff on employee engagement, team building, and culture events.

  • May support employee relations, performance management, and manager coaching.

  • Drive additional projects and pivot as needed based on business and People Team priorities.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years experience in People Operations, Employee Life-Cycle Management, HR Generalist or related roles.

  • Bachelor's degree and or equivalent years of experience.

  • Experience managing and implementing workflow management tools, tracking, and measures.

  • Experience managing HR Systems administration, improvements, and implementations.

  • Experience executing while also shaping new processes and programs.

  • Passionate about working with employees and managers on all aspects of the employee experience.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams across Cresta.

  • Thrive in rapid-paced, dynamic, and remote first environments.

  • Knowledgeable about US employment laws, benefits, and compliance.

  • Exposure to a global workforce including Canada and EMEA is a bonus!

Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. The U.S. base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable. If you want to make an impact with an amazing product, want to improve your tech skills by working with other exceptional engineers, and like to be part of an amazing international team, then you should join us.
