Ollie was born with the mission of improving the lives of pets and pet parents nationwide. We make human-grade pet food, tailored for each dog’s nutritional needs, and deliver directly to our customers’ doors. Through Ollie’s carefully crafted meals and health services for members, dogs can truly live their healthiest, happiest lives.

As a member of our growing team, you’ll take part in a company culture that cares deeply about its work and its team members.

We are searching for a People Generalist to join our team. As a People Generalist, you will support the recruiting and HR needs for our growing Customer Experience (CX) team. You will wear many hats in this position, touching on everything from staffing to payroll to performance and culture. You will be a trusted resource for both employees and managers on the team.

This role will report to our Senior Director of People. This is a remote work role in the U.S. but preference will be given to candidates who live in one of our CX Team hubs (Salt Lake City, UT or Nashville, TN) or those in the Mid-Atlantic region (MD/PA/NJ/NY).

What You'll Do:

  • Run the internal and external recruiting process for the CX team, keeping an active pipeline of candidates ready for hire

  • Oversee the onboarding process, from offer to first day for new CX team members

  • Ensure the accuracy of timesheets and payroll on a weekly basis

  • Assist with scheduling and staffing needs on a weekly/monthly basis including shift changes, weekend scheduling, etc.

  • Support longer term planning needs like capacity planning, internal movement, new shift schedules, etc

  • Be the expert on CX employment policies and HR tools, monitoring enforcement and advising on changes (holidays, attendance, PTO, leave, accommodations, etc.)

  • Support CX leadership in employee matters related to coaching, performance, and conduct

  • Help with reporting needs and make recommendations to improve team KPIs

  • Support the career development of CX team members, assisting with Career Tracks and IDPs

  • Manage existing CX team rewards/cultural programs and bring new impactful initiatives to the team to drive engagement

  • Champion diversity and inclusion on the team, incorporating DEI best practices in hiring, training, and team culture

  • Participate in greater People Team programs and needs for the organization

Who You Are:

  • You have 3+ years experience in recruiting and HR, with exposure to non-exempt/hourly workforces (ideally customer service teams)

  • You are APHR/PHR/SHRM-CP certified (preferred)

  • You are familiar with common HR laws and stay up to date on changing regulations

  • You are passionate about building an inclusive, welcoming culture and diverse team

  • You are able to work independently, self-prioritizing with minimal direction

  • You are quick to respond to needs and work well in a fast moving, dynamic environment

  • You are detail oriented and good with numbers/metrics

  • You are a professional communicator and present well in front of others

  • You are comfortable with conflict and holding others accountable

  • This is not a checklist, so if you don’t have all of these, apply anyway!

What You'll Get:

  • Competitive salary and a stake in the company

  • Sponsored 401k program with employer match up to 4%

  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental and vision

  • Unlimited vacation policy that you're encouraged to use

  • Paid parental leave

  • 1-week paw-ternity leave for new dog parents
