Paid Social Specialist

Upwork is seeking a passionate and driven Paid Social Specialist to join our Growth Marketing team. As the Paid Social Specialist, you will join the Growth Marketing team responsible for driving growth in Job Posts, Contract Starts, and Revenue alongside a dedicated Paid Social team and Growth Marketing counterparts. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of direct-response paid social strategies and support for complex reporting needs. Your Responsibilities:

  • Analytical Excellence: Analyze complex, multi-channel data sets and discover data trends for actionable insights. Responsible for creating and maintaining paid social reporting (recurring and ad hoc). You’re innately curious about data, relentlessly pursuing to understand the larger story. 

  • Executional Campaign Management: Lead in-platform campaign setup, campaign execution, and QA of campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, and Reddit advertising.

  • Platform Optimization: Employ a data-driven approach to optimize performance (LTV:CAC, ROAS, etc.) across key dimensions (targeting, messaging, landing page optimization, bid strategies, platform capabilities) in partnership with the Paid Social Manager.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams such as data science, organic social, and integrated marketing on key paid social projects.

  • Adaptability in Rapidly Changing Environments: Excel in a fast-paced, evolving landscape, adapting strategies swiftly to meet dynamic market demands.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in executing Meta & LinkedIn paid social campaigns with tangible results showcasing your ability to drive growth and partner with cross-functional teams (Creative, Product, Integrated Marketing, MarTech, Analytics).

  • Ambitious Drive & Organizational Skills: A continuous hunger for improvement, always pushing boundaries and setting higher benchmarks. Your strong organizational and project planning skills will be key in executing multiple initiatives.

  • Process Excellence and High Standards: Experience setting high standards and maintaining a relentless bias towards action to achieve marketing excellence.

  • Intellectual Curiosity: Demonstrated ability to apply business knowledge to marketing problems. You’re an intellectually curious, proactive, and collaborative strategic marketer.

  • Self-Motivation and Independence: Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, thriving as a remote contributor with a strong sense of accountability and minimal supervision.

How to really knock our socks off:

  • Experience with Reddit advertising

  • Experience with influencer marketing

  • Innate curiosity towards data and learning

  • Highly adaptable and self-sufficient in a remote work environment

The annual base salary for this position in California and Washington ranges from $85,250 - $115,250. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position in California and Washington, and individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for the annual bonus plan or sales incentive plan and eligibility to participate in our long term equity incentive program.
