Oracle R2R Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Record-to-Report (R2R) Functional Consultant with a strong accounting and finance background to lead and support end-to-end General Ledger and Financial Reporting transformations. The ideal candidate combines deep functional knowledge of Oracle ERP (Fusion preferred; EBS acceptable) with hands-on finance experience in month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires the ability to bridge Finance and IT — translating accounting requirements into scalable system solutions.Key Responsibilities Finance & R2R Functional Leadership

• Lead implementation and support of Oracle R2R modules:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Subledger Accounting (SLA)

  • Fixed Assets (FA)

  • Cash Management

  • Intercompany Accounting

  • Financial Reporting (OTBI / SmartView / BI Publisher)

• Design and configure:

  • Chart of Accounts (COA)

  • Ledger structures

  • Legal entities & business units

  • Accounting rules

  • Journal approval workflows

• Support month-end and year-end close optimization.

• Lead accounting configuration for:

  • Multi-currency environments

  • Multi-GAAP / IFRS

  • Intercompany eliminations

• Configure Subledger Accounting (SLA) rules and mapping sets.

Finance Transformation

• Conduct finance process workshops with Controllers and CFO teams.

• Map current-state close processes and design future-state R2R workflows.

• Reduce close cycle time through automation and improved controls.

• Implement reconciliation and reporting improvements.

• Enable financial transparency across global entities.

Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with:

  • P2P

  • O2C

  • Projects

  • Tax

  • Treasury

• Ensure accurate subledger-to-GL integration.

• Validate accounting impact of system changes.

• Partner with technical teams on:

  • Reports

  • Integrations

  • Conversions

  • Data migration

Compliance & Governance

• Support SOX compliance and audit readiness.

• Design internal control frameworks within ERP.

• Ensure accounting configurations meet statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Support quarterly patch impact assessments (Fusion).

Go-Live & Support

• Prepare FDDs, BR100 documents, configuration workbooks.

• Support SIT, UAT, and cutover activities.

• Provide post-go-live hypercare support.

• Act as L2/L3 support for R2R issues.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of Oracle ERP experience in R2R modules.

• Strong accounting background (CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred but not mandatory).

• Minimum 2–3 full lifecycle ERP implementations.

• Hands-on configuration experience in:

  • GL

  • SLA

  • FA

  • Cash Management

• Deep understanding of:

  • Journal entries

  • Reconciliations

  • Consolidation basics

  • Financial statements

  • Intercompany transactions

• Experience supporting month-end close cycles.

• Strong stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Fusion Financials Certification.

• Experience with:

  • Oracle EPM (FCCS)

  • ARCS

  • SmartView

  • Redwood UI

• Exposure to automation tools and AI-driven financial reporting.

• Experience in multi-entity, global organizations.

Technical Knowledge

• Ledger & COA design

• Subledger Accounting (SLA)

• Multi-currency setup

• Intercompany accounting

• Financial Reporting Studio / OTBI

• FBDI / ADFDI

• Basic SQL understanding (for validation/testing)

• Workflow approvals (BPM / AME)

• Problem-solving and analytical thinking

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams
