Job Description
Are you passionate about real estate? Do you want to teach hundreds of people all about it? Great! We've been looking for you.
Freedom Trail Realty School, Inc. is Massachusetts' first, and largest, online real estate school. We make it easy for our students to take their classes, pass the test, and get their real estate license.
You'll be teaching live online real estate classes that cover the Massachusetts pre-licensure curriculum. We're a remote company, so you can work from home. Class times are available weekdays, weeknights, and weekends, so please specify your availability when you apply.
Our ideal candidate will be:
- Tech savvy.
- Knowledgeable about real estate, and current regulatory and legal concerns.
- Patient and understanding when students run into trouble with the material.
- Thoughtful about class structure and curriculum design.
- Flexible and a team player, without any weird ego or attitude.
- Reliable and independent.
- A fan of overusing gifs on Slack.
- No seriously, we use a lot of gifs.
Our must have requirements are:
- 2+ years experience as a licensed Massachusetts real estate broker or salesperson, or a real estate instructor license from any state. This is a State requirement, not ours!
- Access to a cable or fiber internet connection (no DSL connections, minimum bandwidth 25mbps down/5mbps up required), and a webcam and microphone.
- Access to a quiet, professional space (e.g. a home office or quiet room with a blank wall), or a willingness to teach from our office in Boston.
- The ability to attend meetings and other school events as required, help us with curriculum updates, and perform any school duties as assigned.
- A commitment to teach at least 4 hours of classes per week (maximum ~10 hours on average).
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Passing a background check.
Plusses are:
- Prior teaching experience.
- Willingness to teach in person classes at our Boston location.
- A current Massachusetts real estate instructor license. If you don't have a current Massachusetts real estate instructor license, we'll provide free instructor licensing education and paid training.
We can't wait to hear from you!
