RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Manager to join our team at Verrica Pharmaceuticals. The National Account Manager will be responsible for securing access to our portfolio, managing relationships with key national and regional accounts, with a focus on expanding access for our products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market, particularly in dermatology, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing large accounts

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve targeted metrics and maximize revenue from national and regional accounts.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, medical directors, and pharmacy directors, within national and regional accounts.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including sales, marketing, field reimbursement, trade & distribution, medical affairs and legal to develop and implement account-specific strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to secure access in pharmacy and medical/buy and bill benefits.

  • Develop strategic pull through plans and supporting market access marketing resources to capitalize on existing access opportunities.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities with expanding current access and developing new business within existing national and regional accounts.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and innovation of our portfolio.

  • Problem-solving ability to navigate challenging access scenarios and identify solutions to timely resolve.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on account performance, market insights and sales performance.

  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, market dynamics, and emerging trends in dermatology to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Attendance at national and local society industry and society meetings as necessary

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, pharmacy, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and 5 years of experience as a national account manager, with a proven track record of success in managing national and regional accounts.

  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in dermatology, including knowledge of healthcare economics, reimbursement landscape, and regulatory environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a team environment.

  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel greater than 40% of the time.
