The 1Password Solutions Engineering team is a valuable resource to our customers and fellow Go-to-Market team members. Our solutions engineers are well known and respected as experts on the product, a trusted advisor to our sales teams and customers, and a sought after resource for various types of customer calls. The team collaborates with Product, Marketing, Enablement, and Support to create resources, provide training opportunities, and elevate the overall understanding of 1Password.
As Manager, Solutions Engineering, Enterprise, you’ll report to the Senior Manager, Solutions and Technical Writing and support a team of exceptional individuals who are passionate about working with our enterprise customers to find solutions that suit their needs. An ideal candidate would foster, enable, and share their curiosity.
We’re looking for an experienced leader to work closely with our Enterprise Solutions Engineering team to build out the next chapter of the enterprise customer journey through solutions engineering.
What we're looking for:
2+ years of experience leading a team of highly technical individual contributors
Experience in a wide range of business needs and requirements as well as a deep understanding of what enterprise customers are looking for and require in security software
Excellent organizational skills to manage a team that not only works complex customer engagements but also high impact projects for product enablement
A highly effective communicator who excels at working cross-functionally to nurture strong relationships with the other teams within Go-to-Market and the rest of 1Password
A positive leader who maintains a healthy and supportive environment for their team in which everyone is supported, encouraged, and meaningfully challenged to do great work
Experience leading a team through times of fast-paced change
Previous SaaS experience in an enterprise aspect is a must
What you can expect:
Partner with your direct leader and other leaders within Go-to-Market to plan and implement the long-term vision for supporting our enterprise customers through the solutions engineering journey
Collaborate within the Solutions teams and their leaders to refine and improve our engagement and escalation processes for the teams we support
Analyze call volume and patterns, with a focus on optimization, and report on the progress of OKRs and other team metrics to senior management
Work with our HR and talent teams to continue to grow the team in North America and EMEA
Work with our Partnerships team to support our Channel Partner Program
Contribute to highly effective onboarding and development processes for current and future team members
Work closely with the team to develop a program for continuously improving customer interaction efficiency and quality
Build upon a strong foundation of continuous learning by identifying and providing opportunities for the team to expand their knowledge and develop their skills
Support and nurture an exceptionally collaborative team by creating a strong culture of feedback, psychological safety, and communication
USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $128,000 USD and $173,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $119,000 CAD and $161,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
