Seller-Management team provides a complete solution for managing merchants that sell products through online channels and at physical points of sale. Any business that has sellers to manage can use the Seller management platform. This includes merchant banks, fintech, marketplaces, and payment facilitators.
What You'll Do
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment well aligned to Visa/Pismo culture
Hire and onboard technical talent aligned with company culture and team goals.
Master the technical architecture of seller mgnt and encourage the entire team to reach the same level of knowledge
Support for the on-call team regarding shift management and assistance in incident handling
Ensure system stability, data integrity, and scalability in sellers routines supporting the team to ensure an excellent incident response with rapid resolution and minimal client friction
Lead multiple initiatives by overseeing planning, estimation, prioritization, resource allocation, and execution, all within Agile methodologies
Implement and enforce best practices for software development (coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD)
Collaborate closely with the tribe QAs and Data team to ensure the quality of sellers deliveries and reports
Collaborate with product managers, engineering managers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements
Communicate plans, progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly and consistently to stakeholders
Support the team in ensuring robust scalability practices, including metrics, distributed tracing, and log aggregation, to meet SLOs and SLAs
This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Alternatively, 8+ years of relevant work experience without a formal degree.

Proficiency in English at B2 level (Upper-Intermediate)
Minimum of 3 years managing high-performing engineering teams.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development as a software engineer, with significant experience in Java/Groovy, Terraform, Kubernetes, testing and code review
Ability to communicate very assertively and explain highly technical topics to different audiences
Excellent analytical and problem-solving
Ability to make assertive decisions under pressure and navigate complex constraints.
Reasonable background in Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).
Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural team environment.
Experience with cloud (specifically messaging, preferably in AWS)
Strong self-motivation and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Experience with event-driven architecture.
Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Experience developing secure and scalable microservices.
Experience with monitoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in payments or financial services industry (knowledge in seller management platforms would be a plus)
Advanced Degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD) with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge in Golang language.
