We currently seek a Manager, Finance Operations
Terms of Employment: Full Time, (CLT in Brazil)
Reports to: Global Vice President, Finance
Position Location: Brazil or Mexico (remote)
Position Objective:
The Finance Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity, transparency, and efficiency of our global operations. This role bridges strategy and execution - strengthening internal controls, supporting program and fundraising teams with financial insights, and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative, mission-driven approach to advancing our organization’s impact.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Partner with program and fundraising teams to develop donor-facing budgets that build transparency and strengthen donor engagement
Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations, donor restrictions, and grant reporting requirements across all jurisdictions
Monitor grant and fund budgets, tracking expenditures against restrictions and supporting timely grant and donor reporting
Strengthen internal controls across global finance functions to ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy of financial data while improving operational efficiency
Lead key finance initiatives, including building out a purchase order process to enable transparent and well-controlled spending across the organization
Drive cross-functional, ad hoc finance projects, providing analytical rigor and operational insight to advance strategic objectives
Support international and regional teams in maintaining internal controls, financial reporting, and process standardization
Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support decision-making across the organization
Communicate financial information clearly and effectively across departments and geographies, adapting messages for non-financial audiences
Support annual audit and compliance processes, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring timely delivery of required documentation
Oversee compliance across all jurisdictions where the organization operates, managing tax filings, vendor documentation (W-9s/W-8s), and other regulatory obligations in partnership with local accounting firms and legal advisors
Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; master’s degree preferred
Experience working in comparable environments or handling similar challenges
Knowledge and application of accounting principles including financial statements and general knowledge of anti-money laundering laws.
Demonstrated mastery of advanced financial modeling and analysis using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
