Logistics Consultant

**Job Title: Logistics Consultant with Shipping Domain Experience** **Location:** Remote (Candidates should be based in EST/CST time zones) **Role Overview:** - Experienced Logistics Consulting professional specializing in global shipping lines and ocean freight operations. - Understanding of export/import processes, documentation, customs & compliance, INCO terms, and end-to-end shipping processes. - Familiarity with warehouse, logistics, and shipping terminology. - Deep understanding of warehouse day-to-day operations. - Provide domain expertise in transportation, warehousing, shipping, and international trade during solution design and implementation. **Key Responsibilities & Skills & Experience:** - Lead or support process transformation initiatives including process optimization, automation, and digitization. - Manage end-to-end shipping line operations including vessel scheduling, voyage planning, and service network design. - Oversee container lifecycle management covering equipment planning, repositioning, and depot operations. - Handle booking management, documentation workflows, and Bill of Lading processes. - Manage freight rate management, contracts, and surcharge structures (BAF, CAF, demurrage & detention). - Hands-on experience with transport management applications, warehousing applications, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of industry best practices and standards. - Ability to map business processes to system functionalities. - Experience in gathering, gap analysis, and solution blueprinting. - Strong stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation skills. - Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and value realization. - Exposure to IT systems in logistics (TMS/WMS/ERP) or prior involvement in digital transformation initiatives. **Experience Level:** 7-16 years **Education:** BE/BTECH/Postgraduate (Preferred: In Operations/Supply Chain Management) **Notice Period:** 2 weeks or less
