About the Role:
Hims & Hers is seeking a self-motivated and pragmatic Litigation Counsel to join our growing, collaborative Legal team. The successful candidate will be a team player, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a fast-paced remote work environment. You will actively manage and oversee litigation, including providing legal guidance to our Customer Service and People teams and partnering with cross-functional business teams to pursue and defend litigation matters. You will get to work on interesting and novel issues that arise from the intersection of healthcare, technology, and e-commerce.
You Will:
Primary responsibility for litigation matters, including case strategy development and execution, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Represent the company in smaller litigation matters, including regulatory inquiries, subpoenas, and other third-party requests for information.
Manage outside counsel for more complex litigation matters, including providing strategic guidance, case management, and coordinating internally with business teams to gather relevant information.
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on litigation-related matters, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Develop and oversee the company’s discovery and litigation hold processes.
Provide guidance and updates to management on litigation matters.
Maintain effective communication with insurance carriers and other third parties.
You Have:
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
5+ years of experience practicing at a law firm, government, or in-house.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including top-notch litigation drafting skills.
Ability to think quickly and simultaneously manage a complex workload and shifting priorities while meeting tight internal and external deadlines.
Resourceful self-starter with a team-oriented mindset and positive attitude.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
