We are seeking a skilled mid-level lawyer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will support our business by providing legal advice, conducting research, and ensuring compliance across various areas. You will work on a variety of legal matters, from contract drafting to marketing communications, while navigating the complex regulatory landscapes in different jurisdictions (US, Europe, UK).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Research: Conduct in-depth research on legal/regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., US, Europe, UK) relevant to Simple’s business operations.

  • Marketing Communications: Review marketing communications, including ads, influencer partnerships, testimonials, and draft necessary disclaimers / disclosures to ensure compliance with legal standards.

  • Legal Drafting: Draft, review, and amend a wide range of legal documents, including agreements, letters, policies, procedures, and corporate documents (such as BOD and Shareholder resolutions).

  • Legal Administration: Handle legal documentation, including sending documents for execution, logging agreements in NetSuite, and updating company equity structures via Carta.

  • Legal Advice & Support: Provide ongoing legal advice across various business areas, using external local advisors as needed.

  • Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with partners, vendors, and service providers (including marketing agreements, SaaS, PSPs, and consultant engagements).

  • Compliance & Privacy: Review the app’s current and future features to ensure compliance with subscription regulations, and eliminate dark patterns.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English (knowledge of Greek or Russian is a plus).

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an in-house lawyer, preferably within a technology or mobile app development company.

  • Strong familiarity with legal frameworks in multiple jurisdictions (US, Europe, UK).

  • Experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of legal agreements.

  • Basic knowledge of compliance and privacy laws related to mobile applications and digital platforms.

  • Familiarity with internal tools (such as Jira, Notion, Carta and NetSuite) is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with external legal counsel when required.
