The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation (SGBFF) works to build a more equal and resilient world. We bring people together to support each other through four initiatives: LeanIn.Org, LeanInGirls.Org, OptionB.Org, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program.

We're looking for an entrepreneurial Partnership Development Manager to fuel the expansion of our Lean In Girls program by building new partnerships with schools and organizations serving girls and teens who identify with the girlhood experience at scale. As the Partnership Development Manager, you'll be instrumental in identifying, nurturing, and formalizing strategic partnerships that support our mission to help girls see themselves as leaders in a world that often tells them they’re not. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in shaping and growing the scale and impact of a new initiative and learn a ton along the way!

What You Will Do

  • Deliver against set targets to drive the adoption of the Lean In Girls program by schools and organizations reaching girls and teens who identify with the girlhood experience at scale

  • Effectively communicate the mission and theory of change of Lean In Girls and what makes our approach to girls’ leadership development unique

  • Understand the goals, needs, motivations, and barriers of prospective partners to develop and pitch tailored, compelling, mutually beneficial partnership opportunities and design and execute effective campaigns to drive awareness and secure new partners

  • Manage the end-to-end partner relationship management cycle, including prospective partner research and identification, cultivation, onboarding, and ongoing engagement and support to help partners implement and grow the reach of the Lean In Girls program over time

  • Implement and develop, as needed, efficient processes for tracking, managing, and reporting on partner cultivation efforts and ensuring smooth transitions through each stage of the relationship management cycle

  • Be the “voice of the partner” internally by identifying, codifying, and analyzing insights and learnings and capturing feedback that helps us continually improve our program messaging, offerings, and support

  • Manage cross-functional strategic projects that further our overall program goals

  • Stay up-to-date on research and trends on the state of girls, girls’ leadership, and the opportunities and challenges facing girl-serving organizations

What You Will Bring

  • 7+ years of partnership development and relationship management experience

  • Results-oriented mindset and proven track record of delivering against set targets

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a knack for identifying, managing, and closing on partnership opportunities

  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders, and convey/tailor the benefits of programs and/or services in a way that spurs action, preferably in the nonprofit and/or education sector

  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to balance competing priorities, self-manage workload, and pivot as needed to take advantage of emerging opportunities and meet targets

  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships to drive long-term partner commitment and expand partnership opportunities

  • Proven ability to develop and tailor written and verbal communications to reflect the motivations, priorities and barriers of various audiences

  • Experience using Excel and/or Google sheets to track and manage partnership cultivation efforts and progress to benchmarks and targets is a must; experience using CRM platform (preferably Hubspot) is preferred

  • Experience working in a startup environment and/or launching new initiatives is strongly preferred

  • Experience and ability to work effectively remotely and across time zones is preferred

  • Experience, comfort, and effectiveness with presenting in front of, and motivating large groups of people is beneficial

  • Shared appreciation for and commitment to the mission and work of Lean In, Lean In Girls, Option B, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program

  • Commitment to being a strong advocate for equity, inclusion, and uplifting marginalized voices

What We Will Offer You

  • The base salary range for this role varies depending on a candidate’s location which is categorized into one of two bands. National Band: $108-122K. Bay Area/New York Metro Band: $120-$136K.

  • The actual base salary within the applicable market range may also vary depending on the candidate's qualifications, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • A comprehensive benefits plan including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with a 4% percent employer match, basic life/AD&D insurance, basic short-term disability insurance, and more!

  • This is a full-time, time-limited, exempt position with an anticipated duration of 18 months.
