About the Position:

We are excited to announce an opening for a Lead Shopify Developer to join our innovative team! This is a remote position with a focus on developing and improving our e-commerce store. If you have a deep understanding of Shopify’s core functionalities and enjoy writing code for Shopify (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify Functions), we would love to hear from you. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on women’s health and work in a high-growth startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Figma designs and Shopify Liquid templates.
• Write JavaScript to enable custom functionalities.
• Continuously improve the existing codebase and update code to follow new best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance to maintain high code quality.
• Engage in pair programming with other developers to overcome challenges.
• Stay updated with new technologies and best practices, helping the team implement them as suitable.
• Overlap frequently with European time zones and infrequently with US time zones.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Shopify Theme Development (Liquid, CSS, HTML, JavaScript).
• Experience implementing designs from Figma.
• Previous experience leading software development teams.
• Strong communication skills.
• A strong portfolio of live Shopify stores or Shopify Theme Store Themes.
• Understanding and experience with SEO and Performance best practices.
• Expertise with at least one backend programming language and frontend framework is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with modern development practices and tools, with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Experience with Shopify Hydrogen or other Headless technologies is a plus.
• Experience with other e-commerce platforms is a bonus.
