Labcorp is seeking a remote Lead Product Owner, Real World Data to join our team.

Location: Remote 

Work Schedule: This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible. 

Work Authorization: This position requires permanent authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship (including H-1B, OPT/CPT, EAD, or other temporary work authorization) is not available.

Job Responsibilities

Product Planning

  • Partner with Real World Data leadership and senior stakeholders to refine and execute the product roadmap.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed product vision, requirements, specifications, and execution plans.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, business development, marketing, and other stakeholders to define use cases and develop products for new customer segments.
  • Identify and evaluate product requirements, dependencies, risks, and implementation considerations.
  • Contribute to business case development and return-on-investment analyses.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations that communicate strategic initiatives, business value, and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, market trends, and innovations relevant to Real World Data products and customer needs.

Product Development

  • Lead coordination of product development activities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Identify resource requirements and partner with stakeholders to support product development needs.
  • Coordinate with project and delivery teams to support release planning and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business partners, and subject matter experts to clarify requirements and delivery expectations.
  • Facilitate discussions that support decision-making, requirement validation, and workflow optimization.
  • Communicate product progress, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product requirements, feature definition, and product-related inquiries.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee development and maintenance of product documentation, requirements, and supporting materials.
  • Verify that products and features meet established requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Support adoption of Agile methodologies and continuous improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with technical, business development, and commercial operations teams to support successful product delivery.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 9 or more years of experience supporting data product development, product ownership, product management, or business analysis; or Associate degree with 7 or more years of experience supporting data product development, product ownership, product management, or business analysis; or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or Life Sciences with 5 or more years of experience supporting data product development, product ownership, product management, business analysis.
  • 2 or more years of experience using tools and methodologies supporting requirements management, backlog prioritization, or Agile workflows.
  • 2 or more years of experience building products using Real World Data within the life sciences or healthcare industry.
  • 2 or more years of experience using project lifecycle management tools such as Jira, or Confluence..
  • 2 or more years of experience with regulatory and compliance standards relevant to Real World Data and Real World Evidence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or Life Sciences with 3 or more years of experience supporting data product development, product ownership, product management, or business analysis.
  • 2 or more years of experience contributing to business case development, product strategy, or product roadmap planning.
  • 2 or more years of experience working with healthcare, life sciences, clinical, laboratory, claims, or other real-world healthcare datasets.
  • 2 or more years of experience supporting Agile product development teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • 2 or more years of experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to support product development, requirements management, or operational efficiency.

About the Role

The Lead Product Owner, Real World Data is responsible for leading the planning, prioritization, and development of Real World Data products that support emerging customer segments and strategic business objectives. This role partners with stakeholders across product, technology, engineering, and business functions to define requirements, manage product backlogs, coordinate development activities, and deliver data products that address evolving healthcare and life sciences market needs. The position plays a key role in ensuring products are delivered on time, aligned with business priorities, and optimized to provide value for customers and stakeholders.

Pay Range: $110-130k

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
