As our AI organization scales across research, platform, and applied product teams, we’re hiring a dedicated Product Lead to unify strategy, drive vision, and ensure that our AI portfolio delivers transformative user value and business impact.
About the role:
Goodnotes’ AI ambitions span multiple verticals: handwriting and document understanding, agentic creation tools, meeting intelligence, multimodal LLMs, on-device capabilities, and an evolving AI subscription business. These efforts are currently driven by several teams, each operating at high velocity.
To scale to the next level, we need a single product leader who owns the cross-company AI strategy, ensuring coherence across teams, ruthless prioritization, and a clear translation of research advances into user-facing value.
In this role, you will be the connective tissue between the AI research organization, engineering teams, product verticals, and executives. You will define the long-term AI vision, shape the roadmap, guide investment decisions, and ensure that AI at Goodnotes delivers differentiated, monetizable, and loved experiences, all while maintaining a high bar for quality, safety, and performance.
This is a high-leverage, global role with direct influence on Goodnotes’ strategic direction and revenue trajectory.

Own the product vision and roadmap for the entire AI organization, spanning multimodal understanding, generative agents, productivity workflows and AI-native experiences
Translate research breakthroughs into shipping features by partnering with applied research, ML infra, engineering, design and leadership
Drive the strategy for the AI subscriptions, defining how we grow trials, conversion, retention, and long-term ARR
Define clear KPIs and success metrics across teams (Meeting Intelligence, Freeform Agent, Stylus AI, etc.) and ensure accountability to outcomes, not just output
Prioritize ruthlessly across competing AI initiatives, balancing user value, revenue impact, feasibility, infra cost and strategic leverage
Shepherd AI quality and safety, ensuring new capabilities ship with reliability, evaluation frameworks and responsible-AI guardrails
Collaborate across the entire company, aligning AI strategy with product verticals, marketing, data, go-to-market and leadership
Deeply understand how users adopt AI, using qualitative and quantitative insights to rethink how AI can augment human productivity
Identify new opportunities for breakthrough AI-native features that fundamentally change how people take notes, learn and work
The skills you will need to be successful in the above:
Proven experience (5+ years) leading high-impact AI or ML-powered products across the full lifecycle, from zero-to-one definition to global scale
Deep fluency in generative AI, multimodal LLMs, retrieval systems, or agentic workflows, enough to partner meaningfully with research and engineering teams
Exceptional product strategy ability: setting vision, making tradeoffs, selecting bets and aligning teams around a coherent long-term direction
Strong analytical and business instincts, with experience shaping monetization, subscription strategy or platform economics
Ability to drive structure across complex systems, bringing clarity, prioritization, and measurable goals to fast-moving teams
Outstanding communication and influence skills, enabling you to work across research, design, engineering and executive teams
Experience building AI-native consumer productivity or creativity products (preferred)
Comfort with ambiguity, rapid experimentation, and highly technical problem spaces
