About this opportunity
We are looking for a talented Key Account Manager based remotely near a transportation hub to represent part of the US region. This opportunity is perfect for motivated and creative individuals with experience selling software solutions in the life science/chemistry research markets.
As a Key Account Manager at Chemaxon, you will sell our impressive software offerings using your keen ability to understand and translate customer needs. You have a demonstrable track record of building long-term relationships with your clients, as well as achieving individual and team-level sales targets. And most importantly, you possess the expertise and skills needed to build up existing relationships through cross and deep selling.
Your responsibilities will include
Generating new sales opportunities, including up-selling and cross-selling, within assigned key account portfolio.
Developing strategic account plans that align with business objectives and drive growth opportunities.
Negotiating price and commercial terms for successful deal closing.
Establishing long-term business relationships with customers and commercial partners to ensure superior customer satisfaction and sustainable company growth.
Communicating the progress of sales opportunities, including providing accurate pipeline and meeting reports.
Collaborating with team members to ensure the prompt and successful delivery of Chemaxon solutions in alignment with client requirements and business objectives, by effectively conveying customer needs to various departments within the company.
Maintaining the company’s high standards in customer service and business ethics.
Identifying areas for improvement to meet individual and team-level sales goals.
Attending 1-2 national scientific conferences per calendar year.
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field.
10+ years experience in direct business-to-business sales with a track record of achieving individual and team-level sales targets and other business objectives.
Experience selling drug discovery research informatics solutions.
Experience managing complex software and services deals through long sales cycles to deliver tailored solutions based on your customers' needs.
Confidence in engaging with customer contacts on multiple levels, up to and including VP level, in major pharma accounts.
Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
Superior negotiation and presentation skills.
Eagerness to expand your knowledge through learning about our products and solutions.
Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
A commitment to traveling approximately 20% of the time to meet the needs of the business and your customers.
What we offer
Competitive base salary range of $160,000-180,000 based on experience and skills.
Remote working arrangements with a flexible working schedule.
