This role is with the Cognizant Enterprise Integration (EI) and Digital Process Orchestration (DPO) within Enterprise Platform Services Team. Cognizant’s EI &DPO practice is a world leading provider of Hybrid Cloud Integration and Process Automation Services. EI &DPO practice has strategic alliances with “best of bread” platform providers to provide service for Cloud Integration, Hybrid Integration Platforms, B2B Platforms, DPA and Low Code Platforms, and Cloud Integration.

You will be expected to be a well-regarded and respected individual contributor; possess strong inter-personal skills. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Adhere to the design and coding standards setup by the Dollar General technical architect and leads.

· Develop and unit test code.

· Adhere to the committed timelines and tasks/stories.

· Support environment setup activities.

· Support code movement, code migration, build and release and go-live activities.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions.

· Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets industry standards and best practices.

· Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing applications and provide timely resolutions.

· Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software development and apply them to improve the quality and performance of applications.

· Write and execute unit tests to ensure the reliability and functionality of code.

· Implement security measures to protect applications from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

· Document technical specifications, user manuals, and other relevant documentation to ensure effective communication and knowledge transfer.

· Work with the Dollar General project manager at Dollar General’s site for Project status check.

· Practical experience with how to scale Kafka, K-Streams, and Connector infrastructures, GCP, Networking (VPCSC & PSCSC) with the motivation to build efficient platforms and automation around it.

· Experience with developing KSQL queries and best practices of using KSQL vs streams.

· Hands on experience on Confluent Kafka connect, Kafka Stream, writing Kafka producer and consumer.

· Knowledge in Best practices to optimize the Kafka ecosystem based on use-case and workload, e.g. how to effectively use topic, partitions, and consumer groups to provide optimal routing.

· Experience configuration of Kafka on GCP

· Auto provisioning of topics through terraform/script.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $83,000 to 132,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
