Everstream Analytics is looking for an Intern to join our Intelligence Solutions (IS) team with the opportunity for permanent employment. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Americas, IS. As a member of Intelligence Solutions, you will join a culturally diverse team to help build a culture where resiliency, responsiveness and critical thinking is integrated into every aspect of what we do.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Intern on the Intelligence Solutions team at Everstream Analytics, you will support analysts with cross-functional tasks that help build sustainable supply chain operations. You’ll apply your curiosity and interest in world affairs to support risk intelligence operations which enable our customers to make sense of supply chain risks their businesses are exposed to.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor current affairs with a focus on the Americas region to detect events, such as industrial fires, geopolitical crises, natural disasters, labor strikes, customs issues, port congestions, cargo disruptions, etc. that can impact supply chain resiliency.

  • Analyze incoming data streams for relevancy and impact, and report time-sensitive risk alerts for clients based on information obtained from open-source articles, and exclusive and proprietary sources.

  • Position Everstream Analytics as a thought-leader in supply chain risk management through research contributions to longer-form analytical reports and live situation briefings and webinars.

  • Provide research and writing support to analysts on an ad-hoc basis for client-facing engagements such as curated briefings on risk exposure. This could include drafting recommendations for clients to minimize impact and increase resilience to supply chain shocks.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Economics or any other Social Sciences preferred. Candidates in pursuit of a degree are encouraged to apply.

  • 1-2 years’ work experience, including internships, in journalism, international affairs, or intelligence monitoring is highly desirable.

  • English: Proficient, both oral and written. The ability to write error-free is a must. Spanish or Portuguese proficiency highly desirable.

  • Passion for current affairs and news, with knowledge of socioeconomic & political dynamics in the Americas, and a basic understanding of supply chain processes.

  • Ability to act in a global environment, with good interpersonal skills and understanding of cultural differences and behaviors.

  • Ability to work in a fluid and fast paced environment and manage uncertainty.

This a 6 month paid program working part-time. 100% remote.
