The Opportunity
Many of our customers start with a single Buildout solution, but their business needs often extend far beyond that. As an Inside Account Executive, you'll help our existing customers maximize the value they receive from Buildout.
Inside Account Executives are responsible for uncovering expansion opportunities within our existing customer base, demonstrating the value of Buildout's broader platform, and guiding customers through the buying process without disrupting the renewal experience. Success requires thoughtful collaboration, disciplined account planning, and a customer-first approach.
Reporting to the VP of Sales, you'll work alongside Account Management and Customer Success in a collaborative pod model to create a seamless customer experience while driving incremental revenue growth.
How You'll Contribute
Drive expansion revenue in your mid-market book of business by identifying opportunities to introduce additional Buildout solutions that align with customer business goals.
Partner closely with Account Managers and Customer Success Managers to develop account strategies that strengthen customer relationships while protecting renewal success.
Execute discovery calls and product demonstrations focused on solving customer challenges through additional products and services.
Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across existing accounts and position Buildout as a long-term strategic partner.
Ensure expansion conversations complement—not compete with—the customer's renewal process.
Maintain a healthy pipeline of expansion opportunities while accurately forecasting revenue in Salesforce.
Become an expert in the Buildout product portfolio and recommend the right solutions based on customer objectives.
Leverage customer usage data and business initiatives to uncover whitespace opportunities.
Continuously improve through coaching, collaboration, and feedback.
Pod Model
Operate as part of a dedicated customer pod alongside an Account Manager and Customer Success Manager.
Account Managers own the renewal strategy and commercial relationship.
Customer Success Managers own adoption, health, and customer outcomes.
Inside AEs lead expansion sales motions, bringing product expertise and consultative selling.
Success is measured by expansion revenue, renewal protection, customer experience, and collaboration
What Makes a Great Candidate
2–5+ years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience, preferably selling into existing customer accounts.
Proven success driving expansion, upsell, cross-sell, or account growth.
Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover business challenges and align solutions to measurable outcomes.
Excellent collaboration skills across Sales, Customer Success, and Account Management.
Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
Highly organized with exceptional pipeline management and forecasting discipline.
Curious, coachable, and motivated by continuous improvement.
Experience using Salesforce CRM preferred.
Commercial Real Estate or PropTech experience is a plus.

Location: This is a fully remote role open across most of the US.
Travel: Occasional travel may be requested for conferences, customer meetings, and industry events. Travel may vary based on business needs.
Compensation: The targeted compensation for this position is $74,000 base salary with on-target earnings (OTE) of $144,000, plus uncapped commission
