Labcorp is seeking a remote Information Systems Engineer to join our team!

Work Schedule

  • This position operates remotely, Monday – Friday standard business hours.

  • Employees residing within a 35‑mile radius of the Durham NC office will follow a hybrid work schedule.

  • Travel is generally not required and will occur only when necessary to support specific project needs.

Job Responsibilities

The Information Systems Engineer III serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for the design, implementation, enhancement, and operational support of complex information systems and integrations critical to business operations. This role applies advanced engineering expertise to solve moderately complex to complex technical problems, leads solution design within defined architectures, and contributes to system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Operating with minimal day‑to‑day supervision, the Information Systems Engineer III partners closely with application teams, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. The role may provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives but does not have formal people management responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 4 or more years of experience in information systems engineering

  • 2 years of experience with Cloverleaf

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering

  • Current or previous Labcorp experience

Additional Job Standards

  • Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise‑scale information systems

  • Proficiency with one or more of the following (as applicable to the environment):

    • Application or integration platforms (e.g., middleware, APIs, ETL tools)

    • Infrastructure or cloud platforms

    • Databases and data integration technologies

    • Scripting or automation languages

  • Solid understanding of system architecture, performance tuning, security principles, and resiliency

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident resolution in production environments

  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices

Pay Range: 100k – 110k

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
