About the role
At Coalition, our mission is to protect the unprotected in an increasingly digital world. We’ve assembled an unmatched combination of technology, expertise, and data across insurance and cybersecurity. Our cyber insurance policies, security platform, and security services combined to create a new category we call Active Insurance. As the Head of Product Marketing, you will lead a team of all-star product marketers to weave together our company positioning, and product direction, and go to marketing execution into a chorus that sings.
The best product marketers know their power lies in acting as super-connectors and key collaborators across marketing, product, and sales organizations. We’re looking for someone who knows how to harness the full power of this role as Coalition expands our product suite and builds relationships with an emerging set of target personas.
Today Coalition works with business owners, brokers, and security professionals worldwide to help spot, prevent, and respond to cyber risk. Our team of product marketers helps engage each persona with product launches, sales plays, content, thought leadership, and enablement to educate and empower organizations to solve their cyber risk.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of product marketers who supercharge our growth strategies.
Partner with the product organization to inform the product roadmap, launch new capabilities, and enable our internal sales team and external brokers on new capabilities.
Engage deeply with our security and insurance sales organizations to collect target persona insights, define sales plays, and create a consistent cadence of content they can deploy with external audiences.
Drive to understand customer needs, dig into product details, and elevate our messaging to deliver value-driven, breakthrough initiatives.
Act as the company’s top storyteller, partnering with product, brand, and sales to help the market understand our unique POV, positioning, and differentiation.
Partner with the executive leadership team on thought leadership, internal and external presentations, and telling the company story.
Act as critical advisor to the broader marketing org, providing market insights, quarterbacking new launches, sales plays, and thought leadership initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
8+ years of experience in product marketing or product management with exposure to both channel selling and direct selling motions.
3+ years of experience successfully leading and coaching teams of product marketing managers.
A deep and empathetic cross-functional collaborator who can think through tradeoffs and get to the right decision with conflicting information.
A “yes, and” creative mind who can build on ideas and find new ways to grab and hold attention.
Experience managing a multi-product and multi-persona portfolio.
Deep GTM experience working with demand generation, sales, and creative teams to develop strategies to drive prospect engagement and conversion.
Succinct, clear, and excellent written communication skills.
Clear, engaging, and personable presentation skills effective in small, private groups as well as large, public audiences.
Deep curiosity and willingness to learn every day. We span two industries with distinct competitors, market dynamics, and target personas. No one is expected to be an expert at both, but they’ll need curiosity and intelligence to learn quickly.
MBA or equivalent experience.
Financial services and/or cybersecurity experience is a definite plus.
