Working with the team, you’ll will develop and lead our workforce strategy, building out our policies and programs as the company scales. You'll provide guidance and counsel and have the opportunity to improve and impact every employee's experience.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with and coach senior leadership on business goals and develop HR strategies that support organizational success

  • Develop and implement Vial’s people strategy, programs and initiatives including recruiting, employee retention, performance management, and employee relations

  • Foster Vial’s culture through policies and programs that promote our values

  • Drive operational excellence and efficiency in People processes to enable the organization to hire and develop talent at scale and consistently in our high-performance culture

  • Implement learning and development programs

  • Create job leveling framework and salary bands for compensation reviews

  • Partner with Legal to oversee people compliance and risk management to comply with all legal and regulatory requirements

  • Partner with Finance on payroll and compensation planning

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in the People function with at least 4 years of management experience

  • Experience in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical or clinical research preferred

  • Knowledge of US federal and state employment law and Canadian employment law
