Position Summary:
The GTM Solutions Director – Corporate develops the growth of vendor revenue by driving technical intensity focused solutions, technical skilling and enablement, global strategic planning, and by promoting sales enablement across the organization. They establish and implement sales plays and product marketing efforts with a technical lens. The Director shares broad technical knowledge of the Microsoft platform, our competition, and the industry with customers by sharing customer and general IT landscape insights with our partners and Pax8 regions. They serve as an external and internal customer.
Essential Responsibilities:
Builds and develops global Microsoft practice and GTM strategy for Pax8
Drives the growth of global Microsoft cloud revenue, designs and facilitates goal settings, and manages regional targets while driving community leadership for regional strategists
Oversees the development of partner offers and programs with a technical intensity focus
Develops Microsoft cloud monthly forecasts, strategic plans, goals, and results for Microsoft business development
Collaborates with Product Management by acting as overlay between Microsoft and Product/Vendor teams from a technical support standpoint and supporting development and execution of product APIs for marketplace
Inspires, guides, and leads the core engineers and pro-service engineering team members to achieve goals set by Microsoft and Pax8 for vendor offerings
Analyzes high level ideas and requirements and oversees the creation technical specifications
Strategically communicates with Pax8 and partners to keep them up to date and aware of new innovations, products, and technical releases from Microsoft
Participates in Microsoft + Pax8 Events and trainings (e.g., explaining how vendors work with Pax8 training, setting up L&L’s/other activities, etc.) with a technical intensity
Identifies issues and implements actionable recommendations to ensure optimum vendor performance across multiple process areas including sales, marketing, support, product, billing from a technical support and enablement standpoint with API integrations, engineering, and technical sales teams
Participates in technical releases and makes recommendations in case of inaccurate or missing data for Microsoft reporting in partnership with the data team for QBR’s
Develops, maintains, and executes Microsoft Technical skilling efforts, internal and external with a focus on a specific Microsoft cloud product while driving sales alignment against vendor’s organizational objectives
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
At least five (5) years of experience in Microsoft Sales, preferably IT Channel Sales
At least four (4) years of experience in a technical sales or engineering role
At least two (2) years of experience in technical strategic planning and support
At least two (2) years of experience in account management, with quote-to-cash process experience
Proficiency with Microsoft cloud products
SaaS product experience – selling, handling, processing
Knowledge and deep technical understanding of Microsoft Partner ecosystem (Cloud, Products and Offerings)
Proven business acumen and the ability to be socially aware of others’ personal drivers
Knowledge and understanding of how the Sales Channel works
Knowledge and understanding of sales strategies (e.g., how to set up a sales floor)
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Partner Network
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to facilitate meetings, technical intensity trainings, and presentations
High level of organizational skills
High level of project management skills
Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
Ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
Ability to operate effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
Ability to actively learn through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both success and failures as learning fodder
Ability to anticipate and adopt innovations in business-building digital and technology applications
Required Education & Certifications:
B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
Compensation:
Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $145,000 or more depending on experience
