Growth Operations Manager
Growth Operations Manager
Position: Full-Time
Location: This position offers remote work. While we have a preference for candidates based in California, Colorado, or New York, applicants from other locations may also be considered.
OVERVIEW
Movement Strategy is entering an exciting phase of growth. As inbound opportunity volume increases and delivery teams operate at high utilization, we’re building the operational infrastructure needed to support Growth at scale.
We’re looking for a Growth Operations Manager, someone with an account management or project management background who thrives in coordination, systems, and cross-functional enablement. This role will ensure opportunities move cleanly through our pipeline, that internal teams are aligned and prepared, and that handoffs from Growth into Client Services are smooth and consistent.
This is a highly collaborative role focused on operational ownership — not traditional sales or commission-based new business development.
A BIT ABOUT US
Movement Strategy creates content and campaigns for the world’s most exciting brands. We win awards, make headlines, shatter engagement numbers and celebrate the journey along the way. It’s why companies like Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, and Intuit come to us again and again.
We’re fully remote with hubs in New York, Denver, and LA, and a presence all across the US. We believe collaboration is what takes our work from good to great, and at times, even to legendary status. We champion diverse opinions and creativity in every department, and provide professional development and learning opportunities with the goal of helping you discover your best work today, and learn how to make it even better in the future.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
Opportunity Flow Ownership & Orchestration
This role serves as the operational owner of inbound opportunity movement — ensuring new business inquiries progress cleanly through each stage, with clear coordination and accountability.
Own intake, tracking, and progression of inbound opportunities
Coordinate intro calls, capabilities meetings, briefs, and Q&A stages
Prevent stalled or dropped opportunities through consistent follow-through
Synthesize information into clear internal summaries to support leadership decision-making
Internal Coordination & Readiness
As opportunities move forward, this role creates internal clarity and alignment — serving as the central point of coordination once pursuit decisions are made.
Act as the primary internal point of contact for approved opportunities
Communicate timing, expectations, constraints, and next steps across teams
Reduce last-minute fire drills by improving preparation and readiness
Ensure delivery and account teams are supported with clear context and planning
Growth → Client Services Handoff & Transition Support
A critical part of this role is ensuring new business is truly ready to become an account — with consistency, clarity, and protection for delivery teams.
Partner closely with Client Services leadership to support smooth transitions
Ensure scope clarity, staffing assumptions, and risks are identified earlyImprove consistency and structure in handoff from Growth into delivery
Protect both client experience and internal team capacity during onboarding
Growth Operations Infrastructure & Process Improvement
This role strengthens the operational foundation of the Growth function by building visibility, repeatability, and continuity.
Maintain visibility into active opportunities, pitch load, and transitions
Support the development of repeatable systems and workflows where possible
Create continuity during leadership absences and high-volume periods
Help reduce reliance on Growth leadership for logistics and coordination
Enabling Growth Leadership to Focus on High-Leverage Work
By owning opportunity flow and internal coordination, this role allows Growth leadership to stay focused on strategic growth priorities.
Supporting larger, higher-priority opportunities
Driving outbound growth strategy and agency representation
Strengthening Growth systems, reporting, and team development
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in account management, project management, client operations, delivery operations, or agency production/PM (or similar cross-functional coordination roles)
Experience supporting multiple concurrent workstreams and keeping stakeholders aligned through fast-moving timelines
Strong operational ownership: you naturally create clarity, structure, and follow-through in ambiguous environments
Excellent written and verbal communication — able to translate messy inputs into clear summaries, next steps, and expectations
Comfort partnering with senior leaders and supporting decision-making through preparation and coordination
Strong judgment and discretion with sensitive internal and client-facing information
High attention to detail, organization, and the ability to prevent things from stalling or slipping through the cracks
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience working in or alongside new business / growth / business development functions at an agency
Familiarity with pipeline tracking / CRM workflows (HubSpot, Salesforce, Greenhouse CRM-type workflows, etc.)
Experience improving internal processes (templates, handoff checklists, operating cadences, dashboards)
Prior experience working closely with Client Services leadership and navigating handoffs from sales/growth into delivery/account teams
IDEAL QUALITIES
You treat every conversation like the start of a relationship, not a transaction—and people remember how you made them feel long after it’s over.
You thrive on momentum. When you see an opening, you act—confidently, quickly, and with a plan to win.
You’re endlessly curious about culture, platforms, and technology, and you know how to turn that curiosity into strategies that close deals.
You keep the bar high on everything—from a first email to a final pitch deck—because you know details win trust.
You adapt fast. New priorities, new industries, new personalities—you can read the room and shift gears without losing your edge.
You build trust fast, because you listen first, collaborate openly, and make others’ jobs easier—no matter their role.
You celebrate wins loudly, learn from losses quickly, and keep moving with optimism.
You welcome different viewpoints and experiences, knowing they make the work smarter and the team stronger.
You push the work and the team to their highest potential by making the process rewarding and the outcome undeniable.
