Position Overview
Grab the exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing software company, where you will lead and improve tax compliance for our organization globally. This role replaces an existing position and is critical to ensuring continuity and further strengthening our tax compliance and reporting processes. You will report to the Director Operational Finance.
Group Tax Manager Responsibilities
Ensure global direct and indirect tax compliance, with a particular focus on the United States, France, Australia, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions as required
Manage US sales tax submissions and ongoing indirect tax compliance
Ensure timely and accurate global tax filings (direct and indirect)
Manage external tax advisors and relationships with tax authorities
Lead and coordinate tax audits, including acting as the main point of contact for tax matters with the Group’s external auditor
Own the Group transfer pricing policy, including documentation, intercompany arrangements, and reconciliations
Support and manage year-end tax provisions and ongoing tax accounting requirements
Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks
Implement and continuously improve tax compliance processes
Maintain direct and indirect tax balances within the general ledger
Perform ad hoc tax-related tasks as required
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar tax role within a multi-jurisdictional environment
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or tax
Strong experience in transfer pricing, tax audits, and tax compliance
Solid understanding of US sales tax and international indirect tax requirements
Experience supporting year-end tax provisions and audit processes
Excellent communication skills (fluent English) and confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders
Strong knowledge of corporate tax compliance and procedures
Advanced Excel skills
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proactive, pragmatic approach to problem solving
Location
Remote – US, (preference for Midwest or a major East Coast city)

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $115,000-$135,000 per year, with actual pay determined by experience, skills, and location. This role is also eligible for variable pay targeted at 15% of base salary, with actual payout to be determined in accordance with then-current variable pay policy(ies).
