Global Talent Development Specialist
In the last year at Loka, our teams have helped clients advance the world’s #1 AI reading tutor, eliminate $1B in food waste and develop novel drugs for fighting cancer. To cap it off, at the end of 2024 Loka was recognized by AWS as Innovation Partner of the Year, outshining 150,000 partners for the title. And we did it all while working remotely and enjoying every other Friday off (yes, we really take 26 additional days off a year 😎).
In this position you will be Loka’s first Global Talent Development Specialist, and you will shape this high-visibility role with your vision and experience. You'll bring technical fluency and people skills in equal measure, operating with exceptional autonomy and creative freedom while engaging directly with our executive leadership team to drive transformative talent initiatives across our worldwide footprint. We expect you to lead learning initiatives that support fellow Lokals’ career progression and work across teams to design, deliver and improve training programs that align with our business goals. You’ll create high-quality, data-driven learning experiences that engage staff and generate measurable improvements in skills, performance and career growth.
For the right candidate, this role is a golden opportunity to make a major impact at an ascendent company working with cutting-edge technology changing the world for the better.
Key Responsibilities

Manage HR processes such as annual performance reviews and goal-setting for managers and employees and report on their effectiveness.
Be the face of talent development at Loka.
Qualifications
Five years experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development or similar HX roles balanced between learning and development, within a tech and remote-first company
Expertise in instructional design, e-learning and adult learning principles; experience with LMS platforms and digital training tools are a plus
Strong focus on data and metrics, with the ability to design and track measurable learning outcomes and communicate the impact to stakeholders
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate across teams, support managers in development planning, and engage employees at all levels
Ability to adjust learning strategies to accommodate diverse remote teams across different regions and cultures
