Global Payroll Manager
Apollo is hiring a Global Payroll Manager to own and scale our multi-country payroll operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for all payroll administration for our distributed workforce and support headcount expansion in new countries. You’ll work with cross-functional partners across the People, Legal, and Finance teams to build out a best-in-class payroll function. Rolling up into the Finance team, this is a manager role with a Payroll Analyst reporting to you.
Responsibilities
Payroll administration & compliance
Oversee payroll processing across our distributed workforce spanning 8 countries with direct employees.
Manage relationships with multiple EOR/PEO vendors across 12+ countries.
Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including HR data, compensation changes, and relocations.
Respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding their pay.
Partner with the People and Benefits teams to ensure compliance with local law over leaves, time off, overtime/differentials, and statutory reporting.
Reporting & accounting
Prepare monthly entries and reconciliations in coordination with the accounting team.
Develop ad-hoc reports for finance & legal teams, such as workers’ compensation.
Support accrual calculations for statutory bonuses and accrued leaves.
Process & systems
Manage our global payroll vendors and evaluate new providers.
Improve and expand our process documentation and playbooks.
Implement integrations across our dispersed payroll, finance, and HR systems.
Qualifications
Required
5+ years progressive payroll experience (3+ managing global payroll operations).
2+ years overseeing direct reports (managing external consultants is OK)
Direct experience processing US payroll, and strong familiarity with US payroll laws and procedures.
Proficiency with a major US payroll system (ADP WFN or similar).
Familiarity with payroll accounting, including reconciliation, accruals, and month-close duties.
Experience with payroll vendor selection and/or implementation of a new system.
Preferred
CPP, CPA, or similar credentials.
Direct experience processing non-US payroll (including EOR/PEO and direct employment).
LATAM and/or EMEA payroll experience a strong plus.
The listed Pay Range reflects the total cash compensation inclusive of annual base salary and annual bonus as applicable. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ('OTE') range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonus target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Apollo and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
