About The Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented International Logistics Specialist to manage the efficient movement of goods across international borders. The Global Logistics Specialist is responsible for leading and overseeing the successful execution of global logistics, serving as the key point of contact for customers and internal teams regarding logistics progress and communications. The Global Logistics Specialist may also assist other Project Managers with logistics coordination of international shipments on large projects or programs as capacity allows.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of import/export regulations, a firm understanding of Incoterms, classifying equipment for shipping, and proficiency in trade compliance. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with global trade regulations while optimizing the supply chain for cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the international transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with all applicable import and export regulations.

  • Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to streamline logistics processes and resolve any shipping issues.

  • Prepare and review shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Incoterms, Harmonized System (HS) codes, and other international trade requirements.

  • Monitor shipments in transit and provide updates to relevant parties regarding delays or changes in delivery schedules.

  • Manage relationships with carriers and negotiate rates to achieve cost-effective solutions.

  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies.

  • Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and inventory teams to optimize logistics strategies and improve operational efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipments and customs activities.

  • Stay informed about changes in global trade regulations, tariffs, and market conditions that may impact logistics operations.

  • Complete ongoing security awareness training and comply with company policies to the requirements section

  • Identify and escalate security risks to the appropriate Executive Leadership Team member and actively contribute to remediation efforts

  • Other duties as assigned

Desired skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in international logistics or a similar role.

  • Proficiency in import/export regulations, Incoterms, and classification of goods using HS codes.

  • Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and international shipping practices.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with diverse stakeholders across regions.

  • Certification in logistics or trade compliance is a plus.

This position requires candidates to reside within the United States
