Role Overview

Leading our global People Operations function with teams across the Americas and India, the Global Head of People Operations is responsible for designing and delivering an efficient and scalable AI-First infrastructure that elevates the experience of phData employees around the world while also enabling and amplifying the impact of the broader People Team. 

The role reports to the Chief People Officer; is a member of the People Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and build the People Operations function: Lead and mentor the global team of HR Generalists, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality HR support, employee relations, and HR policy implementation across all regions. This includes assessing current capabilities and building a high-performing, globally distributed team passionate about leveraging technology
  • Regional People Operations: Partner with regional leadership and People teams to ensure the effective and consistent delivery of people operations services, balancing global standards with local legal and cultural requirements
  • People Systems: Architect and manage the global HR technology roadmap, including the end-to-end selection, implementation, and optimization of all people systems. This encompasses leading major HRIS implementation projects, re-engineering processes, and driving a change management strategy to create a modern, integrated, and data-driven function that enhances efficiency, data integrity, and the overall employee experience.
  • Ethical Framework & Policy: Define the Human-Centered AI policy for the People function, establishing fairness, transparency, and accountability (FTA) standards for all AI deployment within the People Team.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the strategic development and management of total rewards programs, including compensation and benefits. Ensure ohData's offerings are competitive externally, equitable internally, and aligned with our global talent strategy.
  • Shared Services: Build and scale a world-class HR shared services model to centralize and standardize administrative and transactional HR activities, thereby improving service delivery, reducing costs, and freeing up People Partners to focus on strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in HR / People Operations, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role, ideally within global organizations.

Technical / Functional Skills

  • Deep knowledge of People Operations, including HR operations, HR shared services models, and global people processes and policies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale HR technology and HRIS implementations from selection through go-live, as well as ongoing optimization of people systems.
  • Proven ability to drive business process re-engineering and change management initiatives that create modern, integrated, and data-driven People Operations functions.
  • Strong data and analytics orientation, using people data and insights to inform decisions, measure impact, and continuously improve operations.
  • Experience building, scaling, and managing global, remote People Operations or HR teams in distributed environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-growth technology, data, or consulting organizations, particularly in global or multi-region contexts.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI and automation within HR / People Operations, including designing or governing human-centered AI policies and practices.
  • Prior experience leading large-scale people transformations, including operating model, shared services, or global process standardization initiatives.
  • Prior experience working in global or remote teams and partnering across US, LATAM, and/or India.
  • Contributions to HR / People Operations communities (e.g., speaking, writing, open resources, or internal accelerators) are a plus.

Location & Time Zone Expectations

This role is based in the US and operates primarily across global time zones with regular overlap between US and India working hours.

  • We are a remote-first company, and you should be comfortable working with a distributed global team.
  • Some flexibility may be required to collaborate across time zones with colleagues and internal stakeholders.
  • Business priorities and key People initiatives may occasionally require flexibility in working hours to support important milestones or workshops.
