Job Description
Purpose: The Funding Verification Specialist is responsible for assessing and determining payment options, while also evaluating business viability, so that appropriate candidates may trial and procure a Lingraphica device.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Acquires insurance benefit coverage via phone or online portal
Interprets benefit coverage information to determine anticipated costs for clients
Uses discernment and judgment to verify the quality of the information provided by insurance companies
Assess business viability of each case by evaluating expected reimbursement, payer requirements, and overall likelihood of successful conversion prior to trial
Determines device trial funding options based on the patient’s insurance coverage
Recognize and identify potential coordination of benefits (COB) issues and proactively engage with the patient and/or care partner to gather information and resolve discrepancies.
Reviews benefits for accuracy prior to sale
Clearly communicates funding options in our CRM and to other Lingraphica staff
Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries
Proactively communicates with team members regarding identified potential issues and concerns
Maintains patient records according to HIPAA and Medicare guidelines
Tracks and trends issues to aid the team in resolution and prevention of repeat problems
Completes all administrative functions, such as data entry, associated with sales activities in a timely manner and in accordance with established processes
Identifies and escalates priority issues and proactively follows up on tasks
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of insurance and funding sources for DME
Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain consistent performance in a fast-paced, routine-driven environment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk and make informed decisions
Methodical and detail-oriented approach to gathering information and resolving issues
Sense of urgency with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to go above and beyond
Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges with curiosity and openness to giving and receiving feedback
Compassion for individuals with disabilities and comfort communicating with clients with speech impairments
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED, required
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
3 years healthcare or insurance related experience, required
3 years customer service and/or administrative experience, preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office, TrueSight, Inovalon, or HubSpot, preferred

Lingraphica and Pay Transparency
At Lingraphica, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The starting salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 per year. Placement in the starting pay is based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity. We regularly review our compensation structures to ensure they align with industry standards, promote fairness, and support career growth.
