Forward Deployed Engineer
Canopy Connect is building the infrastructure that powers best-in-class insurance experiences. We empower consumers to gain value and convenience from their own data, and we enable businesses to securely and quickly support their customers.
We're growing quickly and are scaling up. As Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll ensure that Canopy Connect’s API customers launch with our product quickly and successfully. This position requires strong technical and communication skills. You will work with companies that range from small startups to large technology unicorns.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end API onboarding and implementation for new customers, guiding technical teams through setup, testing, and go-live.
Serve as primary post-sale contact for strategic enterprise accounts, managing cross-functional relationships across product, engineering, and executive teams.
Act as an internal advocate for customer needs, providing structured feedback to product and engineering to inform roadmap priorities.
Analyze usage data to identify expansion opportunities and ensure customers realize measurable value from Canopy Connect’s platform.
Support contract renewals and growth initiatives in partnership with Sales, Engineering and Leadership.
About you
3-5 years of software engineering experience, preferably with our tech stack:
Node.js + Express
React + TailwindCSS + Next.js + React Aria
PostgreSQL
Design skills in Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop or similar
Amazon Web Services
Proven success managing large or strategic enterprise accounts with complex integration needs.
Demonstrated ability to design and operationalize customer success processes in early-stage or scaling organizations.
Strong technical acumen and ability to troubleshoot issues related to APIs, data integrations, and authentication workflows.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to deliver customer-driven solutions.
Understanding of UX principles, workflow optimization, and data security protocols
Please note that we are only accepting candidates who are authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
The expected base salary range for this position is: $125k - $150k depending on experience and skills. We may go above this range commensurate with experience.
