We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join us in the operations team within Matomo. As a CA (or equivalent), you will have a passion for understanding the business as much as you love analysing the numbers. You will thrive in doing and understanding processes end to end and enjoy working across functions to ensure harmony between business goals and finance. Matomo has grown rapidly and our and our roadmap has been set, do you have a passion for process improvement, excited by the possibilities to modernise accounting practices? Proactive Problem-Solving – You address potential financial issues swiftly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications 🤓
Minimum qualifications:
- CA (or equivalent) qualification
- 2+ years experience with accounting in New Zealand
- Skilled in Xero and MS Office
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and hit deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (we are 100% remote)
Nice to have have:
- CA background with corporate experience
- Or CA experience in BAS/Accounting services
- Payroll experience
- Saas knowledge
- Remote working experience
The role🚀
- Day to day finance operations including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with month end and year end reporting
- Assist with budget and forecast preparation
- Payroll preparation
- Help achieve the Finance Teams strategic goals
