Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Our Finance and Strategy team (F&S) are strategic business partners to Stripe’s leaders, providing clear insights which simplify the complexity of the business, and drive the key operating forums to enable effective decision-making.

F&S is expanding to support the needs of our growing business, and this role is an exciting opportunity to start-up and lead our offshore F&S Center of Excellence (COE) program in partnership with newly-hired COE Manager and financial analyst staff based in Bangalore.  The primary focus is to develop and execute a program to identify, move, and improve core F&S work to the COE team.  This is a startup effort - the ideal candidate brings extensive process improvement, program management, and collaboration skills.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a framework for the COE spanning opportunity identification through to ongoing execution, measurement and improvement of fully-transitioned processes

  • Create and maintain engagement and accountability mechanisms including COE Roadmap to inform prioritization and planning, metrics and OKRs to monitor progress, and operating cadence (e.g. Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, Steering Council meetings)

  • Perform process deep dives to document end-to-end process flow, identify and resolve risks and issues, and organize or deliver training for the process to transition

  • Develop, monitor and execute transition plans accounting for operational readiness and capacity of the sending and receiving teams

  • Help problem solve and drive execution through contextual knowledge and conceptual understanding of Finance (FP&A or F&S) systems and processes

  • Identify opportunities and partner with COE Manager to implement best practices and standardize F&S processes to effectively scale the COE team

  • Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in F&S and across the organization

  • Develop and execute change management plans to prepare for and manage successful implementation

  • Contribute to F&S Process & Systems PMO projects as needed

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or related fields required

  • 8+ years of proven program / project / process management experience, some of this in global teams planning and executing process transitions for offshore or central team delivery

  • Of which, 2+ years of experience working directly as a process analyst / process engineer

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills using process and data insights

  • Demonstrated history of taking on various types of challenging projects and producing results through hands-on involvement in the work, in addition to facilitating and project managing

  • Success in crafting and articulating ideas and plans to both management and peers in the context of business priorities and needs

  • Strong communication skills including conflict resolution, team management, and presentations

  • Collaborative facilitator who develops relationships and loyalty with their colleagues across all business functions and levels

  • Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices and improving how work is done

  • Self-disciplined, diligent, proactive and detail oriented

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with various project management (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Asana) and process collaboration tools (BlueWorks Live, PowerAutomate, Whimsical)

  • Experience mapping data flows and transformations working with technical and business teams is highly desirable

  • An MS or MBA degree is desirable
