About the role:
Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for financial accuracy? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong end-to-end expertise in finance procedures, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, financial data entries, and reports. They will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Data Management: Utilize relational databases to manage and analyze data, maintaining its integrity across all systems.
End-to-End Finance Procedures: Maintain and conduct robust finance procedures, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements, and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Communication & Relations: Manage customer billing questions, vendor relationships, and communicate with executive leadership.
Accounts Receivable and Payments: Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing. Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collections.
Payroll Management: Process payroll accurately and on time, including bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements.
Finance Management: Help run day-to-day financial management tasks, such as invoicing, expense management, and financial reporting. Provide training and support to team members as needed. Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy. Demonstrate strong analytical skills to investigate and address escalations, getting to the root cause of any problems.
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Partner with bookkeeping to prepare reports and presentations, identifying trends, assessing performance, and making strategic recommendations.
Data Integration and Automation: Integrate financial data from multiple sources and automate repetitive tasks using tools such as Google Sheets, Airtable, Make, and Zapier. Streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience managing all aspects of finance.
Strong understanding of financial analysis, including cash flow management, Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), and the ability to build financial forecasts.
Solid understanding of end-to-end finance procedures, including A/R, A/P, and payroll.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. No detail is too small to fix.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with executives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities – you get to the root of any issue.
Strong background in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
Familiarity with B2B finance processes and practices.
Knowledgeable in accounting software systems.
Knowledge of SQL and database best practices is a major bonus!
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is a plus!
