Events Marketing Manager
Apply for this position → Go ad-free with PremiumThe Events Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning and executing Sembi’s global event strategy end-to-end. You’ll serve as the operational backbone behind our presence at conferences, trade shows, and sponsored events, ensuring every experience is well-organized, on-brand, and aligned with pipeline and brand goals. This is a highly cross-functional role working closely with brand marketing, content, design, finance, and sales teams. The right person is detail-obsessed, proactive, and energized by turning complex logistics into seamless experiences. Key Responsibilities Event Identification & Sponsorship Coordination
Research and evaluate events across software testing, DevOps, and security markets.
Collect sponsorship prospectuses and pricing, assess fit against goals and budgets, and recommend opportunities.
Coordinate sponsorship agreements, contracts, and payments with internal stakeholders and event organizers.
Maintain a centralized calendar and pipeline of global events.
Budget & Expense Management
Partner with marketing leadership to finalize annual event budgets.
Track event expenses against forecasts and ensure financial accountability.
Manage invoices, reimbursements, and card-based expenses through internal systems.
Provide visibility into ROI and cost efficiency across the event portfolio.
Pre-Event Planning & Logistics
Manage all operational deliverables required by event organizers (branding assets, forms, timelines).
Coordinate booth strategy and production, including signage, collateral, and physical space design.
Oversee vendor relationships for booth builds, A/V, furniture, and lead scanning tools.
Collaborate with content and demand generation teams to execute pre-event campaigns across email and social.
Support virtual or hybrid event experiences when required.
Swag, Inventory & Warehousing
Develop and evolve Sembi’s global swag strategy year-over-year.
Manage sourcing, design coordination, and purchasing of conference giveaways.
Maintain inventory accuracy across storage locations in the US and EU.
Coordinate shipping logistics to and from event venues, including customs considerations where applicable.
Team & Travel Coordination
Partner with marketing leadership to define event staffing plans.
Coordinate travel logistics, including flights, hotels, and itineraries.
Produce pre-event prep materials such as team schedules, booth coverage, and training resources.
Organize team communications, training sessions, and on-site planning meetings.
On-Site Event Execution
Attend key events and act as the primary on-site operations lead.
Manage booth setup, logistics, team scheduling, giveaways, and attendee engagement flow.
Represent Sembi brands at a high level — greeting visitors, scanning leads, and supporting demos.
Capture event photos and video content and coordinate real-time social media activity.
Post-Event Follow-Up & Reporting
Ensure all leads are processed and distributed for follow-up within established timelines.
Facilitate post-event retrospectives and collect team feedback.
Produce after-action reports with performance insights and recommendations.
Support post-event marketing campaigns and renew sponsorships where appropriate.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience managing B2B events, field marketing, or experiential marketing programs.
Must be fluent in English and Portuguese
Experience supporting trade shows, conferences, or global SaaS events preferred.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously.
Comfortable working across distributed global teams and coordinating international logistics.
Exceptional attention to detail paired with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Strong communication and vendor management skills.
