The Events Manager (UK) is an individual contributor within the UK events team, working closely with stakeholders across the business to plan, execute and manage our event experiences. This role is part of a small team who will share responsibility for our portfolio of events, including Xerocon, Xero Roadshow, Xero Awards, Xero Cyclosportive, as well as our presence at external industry events. An important aspect of this role will be maintaining a high degree of organisation, communication and project management skills, as well as establishing and maintaining good working relationships across a wide range of teams across the organisation.
What you'll do
End to end event planning and management across Xero flagship events such as Xerocon, Xero Roadshow and the Xero Awards, as well as our sponsorship or participation at external industry events.
Budget management, maintaining project plans and run-sheets, online event listings and registration requirements, managing the use of event technology and providing on the ground event management support.
Own individual event objectives, including tracking and post-implementation reviews with key learnings, ROI, attendee engagement, etc.
Own individual event briefs for internal and external creative and agency teams, working in partnership with relevant marketing and business stakeholders to ensure our event presence is adequately resourced, on brand and delivered to a high standard.
Maintain strong and constructive relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure successful outcomes are delivered.
Communicating updates with relevant stakeholders and the business more broadly, as well as managing and facilitating staff briefings and retro meetings.
Contribute to Xero’s event strategy more broadly, sharing insights and learnings, and ideating around possible solutions for key business objectives
What you'll bring with you
Extensive project management skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and writing skills
Demonstrated event management/marketing experience
Proven experience in the delivery of timely and outcome-focused events/campaigns
Ability to analyse, interpret and or compare results and identify key learnings
