The AI Enablement Engineer is responsible for designing, building and operating the company’s AI enablement platform within the IT and Security function. This role serves as the primary IT/Security representative on the cross-functional AI Enablement Council and leads the technical direction for the company’s AI gateway and related ecosystem. The position enables safe, scalable AI adoption across the business through strong platform design, clear standards, practical governance and disciplined execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical vision, design and operation of the company’s AI gateway and core AI enablement platform
  • Define and implement standards for approved AI providers, models, data sources, shared tools and usage patterns
  • Build and maintain controls for access, routing, policy enforcement, auditability and financial operations reporting across AI usage
  • Implement required identity, logging and related controls in alignment with broader IT and security standards
  • Partner through the AI Enablement Council to translate business needs into scalable platform capabilities and guardrails
  • Support onboarding, documentation and internal enablement for business teams using approved AI tooling
  • Evaluate gateway platforms and ecosystem capabilities to improve flexibility, governance and business value
  • Drive reliable platform operations, issue resolution and continuous improvement across the AI environment

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, security engineering or a related technical role
  • Experience implementing scalable technical solutions that balance usability, governance and security
  • Hands-on experience with LLM infrastructure, AI gateways, AI workflow platforms or similar AI enablement technologies
  • Experience with access controls, identity integration, logging, API-based platforms and financial or usage reporting
  • Ability to define standards, make sound technical decisions independently and execute in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Demonstrated ownership, reliability, curiosity and sound judgment
