The team
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our dedicated Web Development team, focusing on marketing and SEO initiatives. This role is pivotal in developing and optimizing our web platforms, with a concentration on maximizing our online presence and user engagement.
In this role, you will be expected to guide the team towards creating high-performing, SEO-optimized web applications that align with our marketing strategies. Whilst building and managing a high performing engineering team will be the majority of your focus, you are expected to stay close to the metal by writing code from time to time, reviewing code regularly and contributing to technical discussions via RFCs as ultimately you are held accountable for the solutions delivered by your team. You must deeply understand all the technology used by your team, own the production operation and monitoring of your projects, manage your team members' careers, expectations, performance and level of happiness, adjust the team processes by listening to feedback and guiding the team to bring maximum value to the business with every minute spent.
For this role we are looking to hire someone in EST timezone. The opportunity
Lead a team of web developers in creating and optimizing web applications with a focus on marketing and SEO
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Content, and Design teams to ensure seamless integration of marketing strategies and SEO best practices
Guide the team in implementing advanced SEO techniques and web analytics to enhance online visibility and user engagement
Oversee the architecture, design, and performance optimization of web applications
Address technical SEO issues, ensuring websites are indexed and ranked effectively by search engines
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, keeping the team updated with the latest web technologies and SEO trends
Conduct regular code reviews and mentorship sessions to maintain high code quality and encourage professional growth among team members
Set clear objectives and monitor team performance, providing feedback and support where needed
Skills you should HODL
6+ years of full-time professional engineering experience, with at least 2 years spent in a Senior Software Engineering role
2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, with a track record of building and running highly effective software engineering teams
Proficient in technologies relevant to web development (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)
Strong understanding of current SEO practices and experience with web analytics tools
Experience with content management systems and understanding of content-driven SEO strategies
Deep knowledge of software development and delivery best practices, you know when a team isn’t moving fast enough and you know how to fix it
Experience hiring talented engineers, you have a clear understanding of what it takes to be an excellent Software Engineer
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and blockchain technology
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Nice to haves
Experience working in the cryptocurrency industry
