Description

This position will assist the claims team and LMVR with tasks related to the ICEP process for Costco. This is a newly created position that will continue to evolve as we build out the role & responsibilities.

  •  Under moderate supervision, provide effective coordination of vocational placement and return to work management services.
  •  Works closely with Claims and Costco locations to place injured workers in appropriate work environments.
  •  Effectively address return to work barriers.
  •  Follow-up with the injured worker, employer, Claims, Costco locations and possibly an assigned Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation concerning services rendered and outcomes.
  • Collects and coordinates data needed by claims staff. May obtain data from automated systems, by reviewing claims and/or contacting other people/departments/outside sources to obtain data.
  •  Resolves problems and/or discrepancies which may involve research and data collection.
  • Provides support to claims specialists and communicates timely and effectively.
  • Identifies administrative inefficiencies and makes recommendations to enhance workflow and productivity.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of state, local and federal laws related to vocational rehab, workers compensation and/or disability management.
  • Communication skills in order to effectively communicate with claimants, employers, claims staff and others.
  • Negotiation skills to effectively establish target return to work dates.
  • Proficient use of computer software (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.) as normally acquired through a bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) and at least 3yrs experience in vocational rehabilitation, disability management, workers compensation, job placement or related field.
  • Bilingual, where required.
  • May occasionally travel and work irregular hours.
